This is written for people who don't know anything about mugen coding! All those who know a bit about coding wouldn't need it anyway :P

Okay, first, open the char's cmd, and look for a command like "CPU" or "AI" or something like this. They look similar to this one:

[Command]
name = "AI_1"
command = U,D,F,F,B,B
time = 1

or this one:

[Command]
name = "AI"
command = /$U
time = 1

in first chase, look for the ai activation sctrl, it looks like this:

[State X, AI activation]
type = VarSet
v = somenumberbetween1and59
value = 1
triggerall = Var(samenumberasabove)=0
trigger1 = command = "AI_1"
trigger2 = command = "AI_2"
trigger3 = command = "AI_3"
trigger4 = command = "AI_4"
trigger5 = command = "AI_5"

and more triggers (sometimes more than 30), so it's not too hard to find, easiest way is searching for the name of the command you found above. if there is none, search in the .cns files in [Statedef -2] and -3. (If there isn't any, read below)

in second chase, look for this:

[State X,helper]
type = Helper
trigger1 = !NumHelper(9999)&&!Var(59)
helpertype = Normal
name = "AI Helper"
stateno = 9998
keyctrl = 1

This is located in either Statedef -1, -2 or -3, search for [Statedef X] in all .cmd- and .cns-files and look for the sctrl within the statedefs

then comment out the sctrl (add a ; each line) and you're done :P

PS: Any new methods around I don't know? I think SMEE mentioned one by Kamek...

I like this better than commenting a block out. :P

type = Null;VarSet

Nothing beats a simple 0 as a trigger. =)

commenting out is best for speed :P

Deleting everything wins in the end.  :)

I would like to remove the AI for Adamskie's Johann, but I can't find the code you're talking about.  He has AI commands in the .cmd, but they're never used.  I disabled what looks like his AI code, but he still has annoying AI.  Any help?
Check me out.

Naruto sucks.

Black_Dahlia_Isis

Hu ?  :o Ok for the step to step, but...

What could be interesting in disabling the AI of a char ???

hmmm....
:wall:
no way, knocking on my head against the wall don't change anything, I can't see the interest of doing this... Is it usefull for a char maker ?

ps : I beg your pardon if my question is stupid but my skills are only in stages making and graphical works... ::)

Tom Servo

I got it disabled. Thanks.

And as for why you might want to disable it... sometimes, it's no fun when you're actually playing mugen and you come across impossible AI.  Sometimes it can get annoying.

Yes, I see what you mean, but after disabling A.I. of the char, doesn't he look as vindicative as a vegetable ? ;D

Valodim

Some AIs are just not fun to play against, like Evil Ryu's... he does the same 3 combos over and over again...

Black_Dahlia_Isis

Ok, the fact unknown to me which lead me to these remplies is :

Quotecharacter uses moves randomly

At first I though they're was no more action from the opponent (a bit like in pratice mode) ^^ So of course, it was looking strange to me for someone wanting to erase an AI ! :)

But it's Ok now. :)

Byakko

Uh... IMS, did you ever "play" Mugen ?? ;)
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

O Ilusionista

The best thing is delete the trigger or put ;
because if you put type = null; Mugen still reads the triggers and consumes memory.
