What we're talking about here is when all of that has already happened and the person has kept rejecting all sort of comments and whatnot, and behaved in a disrespectful manner about it. Again, those who are nominated are because what you said was already done and did not work. We're talking Oowhap, we're talking Kong, we're talking people who just want everyone else to say they're the best. We're not talking about someone who started yesterday and who could simply use some help or don't even want to be a big name, just doing things they like.
Just look at the nomination list, they got nominated because what you advocate already failed. Those aren't the ones who just want to stay where they are, those are the ones who actively walk against everyone else.

An award given for worst hurts more than just passing by a thread where people are flamming all sorts of "bad" developers.

It tells these people that not only are they the worst.... they are the worst of the worst. And people came together to *ahem officially* designate them as such.

People don't HAVE to listen to feedback. Heck some people don't even want feedback. It's not a big deal just to let people be creative in their own unique ways without having to bash them for it. I'd prefer it if mugen work was looked at like comics in the drunk duck community.

Many of them are very very amateur. But unless asking for legit feedback most members will simply ignore the comic or give them positive feedback. Or at least tactful feedback.

Whoever started this tough love stuff on the internet is the real worst. We have enough blatant assholes on the net without converting others as well.

Except you been around long enough to see good creators quit because of "OMG SHIN OROCHI FAD MEME CREATION! No. 96987565????" while some of the best shit the community has to offer gets glazed over. Enabling doesn't help. It's not like there isn't the potential for improvement, both in terms of attitude towards one's rep as well as actual ability, because we've seen that happen among many vets of the community. And then we have the drama queens who can't fucking make it once they've gotten knocked off their pedestals. Every facet of entertainment has its critics, with different ideologies among them. Its that work that helps push the community forward and garner interest, even if some of the critics can be pricks at times.

Worst Character of the Year goes to Alexlexus's stuff? What the hell there are Creations out there that have been released that are much worse and it was voted to have Alexlexus's characters as the worst? Hmph...

I find myself agreeing with SuperMystery. There should not be a Worst Character of the year category it sounds like something that Encyclopedia Dramatica might do.

The only thing I can say to Alexlexus is that he should continue his WIPs and ignore the idiotic feedback some give and only listen to actual feedback. And I must also agree that there is somewhat of a negative cloud surronding him.

One should never give up something they love because some people don't like their stuff...
