Hello again. Im having some trouble with a projectile attack on one of my characters. Im following Cyanide's narutorials. from what I know, it looks right, but when i try to test it in mugen, i get an error message
Spoiler: error message (click to show)

From the message, I know its an error in the command, so heres my code. when I remove this the character runs just fine.
;---------------------------------------------------------------------------
[State -1, Shoot]
Type = ChangeState
Triggerall = Command = "Shoot"
Triggerall = StateType = S
Trigger1 = Ctrl = 1
Trigger1 = NumProj (6000) = 1
Value = 1000
;------------------

I believe i made a typo. NumprojID is the correct trigger.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

thanks, worked like a charm.

Allright, I've hit another snag and cant figure it out. the character loads in Mugen, but when I input the command for the projectile attack, nothing happens.

i noticed stuff like this happen to me once.....

i think it depends where you have entered the state -1 changestate in your .cmd

assuming you've hit the snag i once hit

try for experimental purposes....

adding that state -1 changestate code just underneath the [statedef -1] obviously making a space.

then add the command you made for it at the top of the .cmd (above supers)

if it works then thats obviously the problem if not... make sure the changestate is changing to your actual move state you coded in the constants.

also make sure the time in your command is not impossible like for example the command D,DF,F,x has time = 1 or something.

also not sure if this matters why not just have trigger1 = statetype = S && ctrl instead of having statetype = S as a triggerall?
