Well, to start with, I am making Ryuuguu Rena, which is currently 1%. I want to make Normal and Gore(Posessed) versions. Is it possible to have two different styles and attacks in one character? For instance Normal Rena focuses on technique and Gore Rena has more on range? And their moves are different?

If you still don't understand, it means something like Iori, Orochi Iori or Ryu, Evil Ryu. Except for the fact this character has different movesets, not all.

Can projectiles in MUGEN possibly bend directions?

It can be done.

You are talking about a hell of a lot of sprites and making some sort of trigger for the transformation.

If you look in the tutorial's section their are a couple on transformations, they should help.

I knew that already, I've dead decided to do these things coz minoo's sucked. 2 characters in one = double amounts of sprites, yeah.

What I mean is pressing a,b,c,x,y,z uses Normal Rena while holding start and pressing buttons uses Gore Rena, not transforming in the middle of a battle like Dragonball or something. Once you choose one you stay with one till you say quits.

Yes, that's possible. Just make sure you don't need to make two sets of gethit sprites, i.e. both modes have the same and look similar enough generally speaking (no completely changing weapon or outfit), because you can't totally make it work otherwise, it'll look weird everytime you get thrown.
Press start when selecting = palettes 7 to 12, + there's a trigger to check which palette you're currently using, so you can just check that to know which moves are allowed.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Ohh... :( that's bad. Because Normal Rena ain't using any weapons while Gore Rena's using her signature head-chopper. Outfit's the same. Does it matter if the get-hit sprite faces are different a bit?

Only the get-hit/get-thrown sprites have to be same, is it? The rest is okay if they are different?

Wait, maybe I'll think of something on the get hit sprite thingy, e.g. when they get hit there's something behind but not clear.

Never tried this so I could be wrong, But you might be able to make a custom state that the character goes into when hit with the use of a trigger. Just take more work. You can mess with that in the data folder.

Also if the weapon is the problem just make it a helper. Then it could be independent of the character.

Actually i think it's better to study gm's gill and use whatever method he used, since he is the only transformable character that other creators have bothered to support.

Mineko C. Lucky

Oh, and about the projectile part?

Some people didn't get it the first time I said it :
the helper, and also the "slightly different face" thing, do not work properly when you get thrown because the opponent is going to put you in a custom state using a custom animation and he's going to refer to, say, sprite 5000,10 and if you're in the wrong mode, the weapon will suddenly disappear and the face suddenly change for the gethit sprite because it doesn't know that your special mode uses 50005000,10 instead of 5000,10 for the special mode. There's no way to make that work because you have no control over which sprite is currently being displayed outside of the animations. So if the animation is made by the opponent and not you, you can't control which sprite is being used.
For that to fully work, you need everyone else to comply and take that into account, which is why we usually just say it works only in a full game.

Yep, gm's gill is the only character for which I have seen some people actually bothering to comply.

So, what you mean is they ALL or SOME took his works into account and Gill worked properly?

Or maybe both Rena's just use the same get hit sprite. I'll design a get hit that fits both of them. Any other things do I need to?

I did consider separating Gore Rena and Normal Rena into two different characters. For instance people who prefer cuteness add NormalRena, into select.def while people who like bloody stuff type GoreRena, into select.def. For both, type Rena like what Phantom of The Server did to his Ryu.

Nearly done with Rena's standing animation, I think.
