Theoretical CVS3 Roster - uni related

I'm working on a report for my university course to do with the 'balance' in fighting games, and how roster selection can impact it.  To that end, I'd like some people to fill out a survey.  The basic premise is that you are given the chance to elect who you'd like to see in a theoretical Capcom Vs SNK 3 game.  Each question carries with it all the representatives I can think of of a specific franchise.  I ask that you select between five and eight of the options present for each question, and add any characters from other franchises in the last question.  Thank you in advance for your time.

KoF list lacks the likes of May Lee (this might help), Samurai Shodown lacks the 3D games, and SNK section in general lacks franchises - if Capcom gets away with including series with only 1 or 2 games, SNK could have mentions of games like Last Blade and Buriki One.
Forcing the selection of 5 character from Warzard forcefuly includes gigantic beasts - that may sort of work for a freakshow like CFE, but for a CvS3?...

Perhaps it would have been a good idea to base the number of possible selections on a percentage of the available characters per series instead of a fixed number to apply to all of them, otherwise the results end up a bit falsified - if the selection forces you to pick a monster in Warzard, it gives the wrong impression that those are popular enough to be included - yet if people only have a very small number of selections for series with large casts like SF and KoF, people will end up making more conservative choices.

I'll admit to missing May Lee's name.  And as for the lack of SNK franchises in general, I only found out as I was making it that the free version of the website only allowed for surveys to be 10 questions long.  I tried to cover my bases with the last question, and a few people have nominated May Lee there, along with some Buriki One and LB characters.

I'll also point out that the number of votes is no indication of how many of one franchise goes into a roster.  Each question is only a guide as to who gets priority over who else from their own franchise.  I asked for 5-8 in each question to try and make people vote for more than just their favorite characters.  Naturally Warzard characters won't get preference over SFers because more people voted for them.

Ideally I should, but SRK has always seemed a little elitist to me.  Suffice to say this poll is in places other than the Guild, though.  I'll also be posting the results here once I have enough data.

I'm reworking the poll a little bit: I've split the Capcom and SNK questions into two seperate polls, to allow for more franchises from either brand.  I'm yet to open either of the new polls, mainly because I'm not sure if it'd be worth the bother of hunting down voters again.  I can manually add what votes have been cast already into the new polls, but then nothing stops people from voting twice, spoiling the integrity of the data.  I know that sounds like a copout, but it's something that we're told to take seriously.  What do you guys think?

Also, I'm about to add Last Blade to the new SNK poll, does anyone else have other Capcom or SNK games they want to add to the pile?

SNK acquired Data-East, Sunsoft, etc. and owns the right to all their characters (hence most of the cast in NGBC and the secret characters in KoF XI)

AFAIK SNK doesn't own the Data East stuff, they got the right to use Mizoguchi thanks to a deal with G-Mode, who in turn was able to make FF vs FH.

The poll lacked the Maximum Impact and EX characters in the KoF section, and the 3D SSs were completely absent. Also, there's the games represented in NGBC nor represented by the poll.

I kinda doubt that it will be good statistic wise if he puts way too many choices on his project, it will give extremely scattered answers and data will be harder to retrieve.

Several options aren't really a problem as long as you have a large enough amount of people answering the poll - at certain amounts, the fact that some options still have zero votes may already count as a relevant fact by itself.
