MugenLord

Hey guys I just started creating my own screen packs now and I wanted to show you what I have done so far with it and I also have a video provided for it as well as screen shots, I warn you that this is my first time making one lol. Right now I only have my Title Screen, Option, and Character Select Screen completed so far well I still need to change the fonts and add more footage to my video screen that is displayed in my Title.

I am still adding more footage for the TV Screen maybe lasting around 10 seconds and dont mind the 60 in the upper left corner that was the software I used to give it a snapshot.

This is my character select screen, it still isn't done yet because I have some adjusting on Player 2 side and yes I created the
portraits myself So it can fit in with the way I created the screen pack. I will also be creating some Icon's for each of the characters
so they can fit neatly inside the boxes and the bottom and top Borders move as well.

Here is my option screen which I will tweak a little more and as you can see that the images in the background move as well.

Final Note: I don't know how to create life bars so I might edit and tweak something already made, the next update will have the versus screen, life bars, and other minor adjustments including a video for you guys to check out.

Note: The Video is a day old so the title screen is much older than the one I have posted in the forum and tell me what you guys think ^_-

Yes, I did.  It's a good start.

I'm liking that options screen. lol @ Sonic. I feel like this is the kinda pack where you can put in different kinds of characters and it'll still feel natural. 24 slots don't hurt as well.

Of course he will not name call you since you own him. I mean, I'd be pretty pissed if my dog name called me.

Ok ill add in extra slots because everyone is requesting that I do lol.

momo!

hey bro good luck, for the slots since you have a rectangular select screen you can make multiple select.defs that have different amounts of boxes in them:P

So how does that work? Do I link the other .def to it because this is my first time at this.

momo!

nono, you just make a bunch of .defs, and people can pick which one they want to use, ex you could have ten, one hundred, one thousand, and (if you're insane!) ten thousand.

Oh I get it well yea I was going to come out with a plus edition with more slots and before i forget, I need to know how I add my own fonts to the game and edit life bars.

in the system.def folder, youll find this code:

[Files]
spr = system.sff          ;Filename of sprite data
snd = system.snd          ;Filename of sound data
logo.storyboard =         ;Logo storyboard definition (optional)
intro.storyboard =        ;Intro storyboard definition (optional)
select = select.def       ;Character and stage selection list
fight = fight.def         ;Fight definition filename
[b]font1 = font/xt.fnt  ;System fonts
font2 = font/f-6x9.fnt    ;System fonts
font3 = font/jg.fnt       ;System fonts
[/b]

its right at the start, you use 3, but mugen comes with more, im pretty sure it uses those those for other stuff, total of 9.
but you probably only need 3. the way mugen uses font is it uses the number, not the name of the font, so jg.fnt would become "menu.item.font = 3,0,0", etc.

good luck :P

Do I have to convert the font or something in fighter factory? So i take it jg.fnt = font number 3? So what is the other numbers for 3,0,0?

momo!

you can use fntmaker, the one that comes with winmugen, or font factory. i hate font factory's font creation because like fighter factory it corrupts files a bit.

and i actually dont know what the other numbers are for :)

The numbers there mean Font Number, Color Bank, Alignment.

For the alignment 0 is centered, 1 is aligned so the words move to the right (Left Justified), and -1 is aligned so the words move to the left(Right Justified).

Thanks a lot and man this forum has plenty of helpful people and they respond quick unlike the RPG Maker Community.
