Spoiler: Additional screenshots (click to see content)From the very old days of DosMUGEN, I bring you taruse's original character. This is one of my most favorite MUGEN characters, so much that I edited her years ago to bring her up to WinMUGEN standards. And now I've edited her once again by implementing into her one of my favorite fighting game styles, admittedly a big deviation from her original fighting style. Still, I hope you find the end result a lot of fun.Mediafire:http://www.mediafire.com/file/8b94qj7a3gan7rv/mvc3_reika.zipDropbox:https://www.dropbox.com/s/xsgrogf933rw3u9/mvc3_reika.zipWinMUGEN non-MvC3 Reika:http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/yoma-jedah-and-reika-138990.msg1520451.htmlEnjoy
When I get a new PC, I'll be trying out this character for myself. She looks like she'll be a lot of fun and I can even give feedback.
She looks great overall but there is one small thing that bug me: it seems that opponents cannot auto-wake up during the launcher (which is a thing in MvC3). Also, her backthrow hitbox is too small, which makes me perform s.Strong all the time while trying to throw opponents back. Those problems should really be addressed.
It's not just the launcher, air recovery is all automatic in MvC3 but I was only going for an approximate rather than absolute accuracy so air recovery here has to be done manually per MUGEN defaults and there isn't really any hit stun deterioration either. I'm just surprised it took this long for anyone to bring it up, Alice has the same issues but nobody said anything about her.As for the back throw, the hitbox is fine. I guess what you mean is the throw distance might be too short, in which case I might extend it by a few pixels if an update becomes necessary. Or you could do it yourself, it's as simple as editing the CMD file.
