Loving the stage nice work, only one thing I would say that the super jump of the stage can be more higher to see in the air.

That's a good looking stage... but Linn just doesn't fits along it. What most people don't get is how to properly add characters for a background appearance. It's not the same as taking a character and just pasting in it. There nearly always a significant detail reduction and shrinking to make the character fit.

Look at this butler. His palette shows to be clearly affected by the sunset tone of the stage. And to help him fit such stage, he has a fine amount of brightening that goes along. Not only that, but his shading is quite simple. He barely uses that many colors to begin with.

Now look at Linn in here. She clearly stands out too much, compared to the rest of the stage. Why? Because she was clearly just pasted in there, because she wasn't sprited purposely for appearing in a background like the butler. The fact that she's just as detailed as a playable character would be makes you think that she's somehow involved in the fight, when it's clearly not the case. Her palette is also a reason she sticks out so much. She has little to no impact on the stage's color balance to begin with, and has a lot of details that drive far too much unneeded attention at her.

Is it nice to see her making an appearance? Yes, it is, but not like this. For it to work, you'll have to tone down her detailing and make it actually seem she belongs to the stage.

Shit

I think it's a pretty cool idea for a stage, and with some touch ups it could be a keeper. If I were you I'd cut Linn separate from your 5,0 sprite and make her a single sprite of her own. You could scale her down to give her the illusion of being farther away while fitting on the railing and not being oddly placed, and also like Motoroach mentioned, editing her colors to match with the tone of the stage. The butler could use a shadow, and Linns could use some editing.

I like the splash, nice touch, but I think it happens too frequently. Perhaps you could slow it down a tad? And maybe recolor it to match the water passing in the background.

Looking through the .def i noticed you also left debug on, and left some sprites uncropped in the .sff. Also noticed about 4 sets of unused sprites.  :???:

Cool stage though, hope you can improve it a little bit.

Nice, but... besides from those things already mentioned... the background chars have no shadows... not even the railings.

Linn is standing behind the railings, but from the point of view there is no place behind the railing to stand on...
