RGB ...K' REDWhip GREENMaxima BLUEdoes not matter, it does not fit. following your logic giving K's a red strap on and clown nose would fit his design then (added clown nose becasue the strap-on might).
So, do you consider the problem to be the design, or the color? Your complain isn't all that clear aside an implied "I don't like it"
Very good work I like it.You must use it in full characters!!KOFC [walt] said, October 04, 2011, 03:27:00 pmWow, those are pretty cool. Krauser's is perfect, except you could have used one of the official frame's face, and the abs go too dark when sinking in, maybe everything one shade lighter would be ok.+1I was thinking exactly the same thing about the shade. Just make his abs lighter can make it perfect. BTW : do you have some particular way for the animations. How do you give to a single sprite this realistic movement? The idle/standing poses are most of the time the more difficult to animate because if there is a little problem, you can't ignore it!
From my personal experience, you must use a well made still frame, and start editing small pixels from there.
and you have to retouch a lto fo places as leaving static stuff looks horrible a lot of times (ok, not horrible but robotic).KOFC [walt] said, October 04, 2011, 05:01:29 pmSo, do you consider the problem to be the design, or the color? Your complain isn't all that clear aside an implied "I don't like it"don't exagerate, I know you are not a child to have arguments like that, "it does not fit the design" is much more clear than a "I don't like it" and you know it. withotu getting creative, the shirt should be black, she could be wearing something else instead of it or she would have something else that's also green, preferably below so it makes the shirt not stand out so much.
Okay well I will work on it and post when I have some variants.BTW the Krauser and Geese sprites are great, need work sure but still highly impressive.
KOFC [walt] said, October 04, 2011, 06:17:12 pmFrom my personal experience, you must use a well made still frame, and start editing small pixels from there.OK, I had some "hard" time sprite-editing on idle stances for old projects, and this is the way I do it too.You have to use always your last sprite to create the next one. (just like in traditionnal animation)
Thanks guys, yeah Krauser could use a little work, will see what i can do.About a breathing stance, from my observations, you need a solid base that will be your first frame. then proceed more or less like this:1 - base;2 - enlarge by working slightly on the shading;3 - move ribcage and arms up 1 pixel, shading;4 - shading;5 - move trapezium and head up 1 pixel, shading;6 - shading;etcObviously for stage 3, 2 becomes the base etcit can go further and be a bit different, but 5-6 frames is enough to give a good feeling. It really helps to have a decent understanding of human anatomy, too. Here's a more recent and subtle example:This is actually part of a bigger project that started because i wanted a stance that would transit better to his idle animation, and went on and on. Hopefully I'll make something of it.
tried this out for the first time -> as you see i'm off to a rocky start as:1) i have no idea what to do with the sash2) the neckhole outline seems a bit jarring compared to everything else3) guess i should also make the shoes more 'shoe-like'any suggestions, thoughts, jeering, etc?
you need a lot of work therefirst of all the empty space in the head isn't the same has the original sprite, shoes should be a bt larger and the shorts larger tooit's a start, but push your limits to get more and more detail on it

Looks good! perhaps in the last position, the arm need to be less rigid to show that the punch actually hit the ground?
An attempt, editing .. of Yuki from Last Blade , I tried to make her stay in SNK.Below I leave a part of Stand her .ps : Is not very good , but I hope you help me with some tips to improve.

Looking badass as always, C4ncel! I can see you love KOF sprites so much and that's why you're skillful enough to sprite 'em! @CYBER_GOUKI: You need to change the lighting on the left leg for animation so you can make it flow through your eyes to see. The lighting looks off while playing animation.
Hmm...perhaps someone should make a sprite of that dude from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim? He'd look pretty badass in KOF style more than anything.
