Which fighting game series is the over-all greatest, in terms of game-play, chars, storylines, fighting styles, etc? Many people may have different favorites, but I listed all the most popular ones I could think of as main choices and put an "other" category for anything outside of these choices... Hopefully people can discuss what they like about certain games and why you voted for whichever choice you voted for...

Foobs

Don'tuse SNK as an umbrella term.

MDD

SNK can dwell off into KOF, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury/Garou etc.

Jesuszilla

I voted Darkstalkers, though my favorite game is probably JoJo.

MDD

Voted for Tekken. I like the rest of the choices except DOA, but something made me choose Tekken.

JJBA is a great game as well. One of my favorites. DIO ALL DAY BABY.and Khan.

Loud Howard

allright i voted in SNK

but i voted on them bcuz i was thinkin about the 90's, when SNK were a good company, and Fatal Fury an KoF Series were Good to play with your friends, and at the same time to humilhate noobs in the arcades in KoF 98  , When FF and KoF games had various language adaptations

Ow i've forgot, KoF and FF had PC Good pc Adaptations on that time

lol

Nate Nukem

Rival Schools if it had been there.

S.D.

Lumping all the different franchises from SNK in just one option? That's unfair and stupid.

Last Blade for me.

Well then by the same note I lumped all SF games into one category also, and all the MK games, and all the Tekken games. Nobody is complaining about that. I mean most of the same chars and cast appear from one title to another in the SNK series, KOF, AOF, and Fatal Fury are all tied into the same storyline series. This is a post comparing different series, different fighting game universes.

"other" includes both of those :)

kakkoii superhero

I voted SF, since I like where they go and grow, even the alternate costumes, and cammy's curves.

KOF 98 the remake
KOF 2002 the remake
CVS2
MVC2
Soul Calibur
Tekken 3
GG XX AC+
Rival School 2 (japanese psx)Samurai Shodown 6
KOF MI 2 / KOF 2006

GOH

I'm confused. Are we voting based on tastes or facts? Because that poll is seriously bolox.

DMK

Street Fighter due to how much fun between friends I've had for it over the years, second would be Tekken for the same reason.

kakkoii superhero

then there was this game for SNES
TAEKWONDO by HUMAN
which was so underrated do to the generic name and unfriendly menu language (korean/ japanese), and generic looking costume (same taekwondo costume in different palettes)
while it was very good and very original
multiple stance, side stepping, dash, stamina (player get tired when needlessly too active), combo, counter, desperate move, down, point, and KO system, create and train original characters tobe played with friend later through password,
tournament and team play mode (I think up to 4characters in one team)
for its time it was awesomely great.
