Well, I just tried it on Jin, and for some reason it won't hit him, I'm sure it has something to do with his clsns in air, maybe they're smaller then they should be. Try it on CM Punk and you'll see it works.

Seanaltly, another solid release. Lots of fun, and a minor suggestion would be for the AI to be a wee bit harder. Other than that it is very cool :p
OK class! Now remember, in order to give someone proper feedback, you must BASH them! Because being nice, and or respectful, is frowned upon in the Mugen community... Ok, so what do we do to new creators and patch makers kids?

(Kids yelling) BASH THEM!!!
^lol, not sure why there is so much here. oh well

More playthrough with a version right off the site:

- Zombia Sagat for the voice work <- Still need to fix that typo. Hah.
- Freeze still missing Kung Fu Man at point blank range.
- HK Ice slide can chain into LK ice slide. Intentional?

Will update as more is found.

Three things:
- if the opponent hits you soon after a Double Ice Backfire, SZ stays in a frozen palette even after being unfrozen.

*EX Freeze (+ Clone?) seems like it should freeze the opponent longer...but then again, SZ can get in alright with a run.
*I keep thinking the opponent should shatter if K.O.'d with the Brutality, but that's just me.

Other than this, and whats already been mentioned, this release is just plain cool solid ice chill great, as always, Sean Altly!
god damn change the tampon already

@Sean..you didnt like the gethit sounds?

I almost always forget to include gethit sounds when I have them, it's just something that slips my mind. I will add them in the next update.

-Yeah, just keep forgetting that one, I'll fix it
-Damn, how much width does he need? I guess I'll have to do something else, since width isn't helping.
-I can't get this to work for me, but if you can, sure, why not, seems like an interesting link that takes good timing and does fair damage. No need to change it, I don't think.

Thanks for the feedback!

Alright, here's my impression.

The character itself doesn't have any glaring problems or anything.  However, I feel like he's a bit too....plain, even for Sub Zero.  Since Jin had Tekken-esque juggles, I was kind of expecting Sub Zero to have target combos that mimic his dial-a-combos from MK3.  I can't say I understand the need for a command throw either.  IMO his moveset doesn't make him stand out enough.  There are a lot of things you could have done to make him shine more as Sub Zero.  The cold shoulder from MK Deception, ice shaker from Deadly Alliance, maybe something with the kori blade.  I also think you could have been a little more creative with his level 3.

Certainly not bad by any means, but I feel like the Sub Zero character doesn't shine through enough with him, if that makes any sense.  To be blunt, I'm really not feeling the voice either.  : /

He has something like the Dial-a-combos, like LK->f. LK->HK but I don't know if that counts.

I know i've had him for a while and I like him, but I feel like this would pass off more as the elder Sub-Zero rather than the younger one because of the moveset. I dunno. Just my opinion.

Also, if I find my microphone i'll send in some voices for Scorpion. I know Zombie Sagat already did some but i'd like to try with my deep ass voice anyways. :P

Hey! For a next update add HP->HP->LP->LK->HK->back + HK. That combo is a classic for him, he even has that one in MKMSZ.

I said early in his development that I wouldn't be using the Kori Blade. I considered the Cold Shoulder but decided he needed the Slide more, and frankly, the Cold Shoulder and Slide are very similar and I felt the Slide was more classic and recognizable. If you remember, the Cold Shoulder is what replaced the Slide in MK:DA (and all the games in that series), so I didn't feel he needed both. I don't see how his moveset doesn't "stand out," it's Sub-Zero's moveset, it's the moveset he's always had, plus the Cold Punishment and the Cold Palms (inspired by a similar move in MK9), plus EX moves. I'm not a big MK fan so I'm not an expert, but I know what Sub-Zero's classic moves are and he has all of them. I'm just not sure what you were expecting here, I made a Sub-Zero in the style of a Capcom fighter. His L3 is an actual thing he's had in the games (a Brutality, which as I mentioned in his WIP thread, made the most sense of all of his finishers and fatalities to translate as a Super move). I'm sorry trying to stay faithful to the character wasn't creative enough. Just like I'm not going to include all of Jin's moves, I can't include every special and combo he's had in every game. I chose what I felt represented Sub-Zero the best, and then made a custom version of him. I just don't know what you were expecting, but I put a lot of work and time into this character and frankly it bugs me that that wasn't enough.

Just a little nitpick but I feel like his voice is a little audio-misaligned to the left. You know in stereo mode and all that It sounds as if its predominantly from the left speaker. Its hard to explain.
There was a sig here. Its gone now (thanks photobucket ya fecks)

Actually the left speaker thing is my bad..Imma give Sean a snd.patch with the vox fixed..Im sorry that my voice wasnt truely up to par on Sub-Zero to some of your expectations but hey I did my best..if Sean feels the need to replace my work with someone else I wont hold it against him. I was and am still glad he gave me the chance to give it my best interpretation. Im not David Hayter, DC Douglas or Crispin Freeman but I tried to give SubZero and Scorpion his own voice for this game..anyway thanks for hearing me guys.

Don't worry, I'm not replacing you. I like it, and so do a lot of other people. It would be hard to top your Scorpion, because it was even better IMO.

Thanks man that means alot. Imma ask Rina Chan what kind of mic she uses..it sounds great. I used a drum mic going thru my Line 6 pod studio ux2..my mistake was probly a faulty cable or something...all I have to do is redub the track to the right by cloning and leave the original in check..I will send just the snd file and some of the gethits fixed sometime tomorrow and that should fix the panning issue.. speaking of voices did you plan on giving scorpion his summon hellfire move? reason I ask is I might do a few growls like hes raising hell from the ground up..

Wait, why are the voices rendered in stereo for the character anyway? Character usually use mono for voices unless you're trying to pull out a specific effect which is not the thing that's going on here. You should just convert the samples to mono, that would kill like 3 birds with one shot. You avoid the trouble of rerecording or resample the sounds, it fixes that problem and it will decrease the size of the .snd.

I will say your voice acting as Sub-zero is good. Its easy to tell he's a ninja Lin Kuei and an honourable warrior. Did you base it off of anyone in particular?
