Man I feel real sorry for you man. I'm surprised that Photoshop doesn't have an auto-preserve option like Corel's Paintshop does. It whenever you save a file the last version of it goes into a separate folder in the same directory.
Well finally managed to recover all the sprites from the Gifs...So whats its done? practically all you can see in this threadWhat its lost?:Some sprites from Midnight Bliss, Jump foward and backwards, get up anim, the 2 swords static model/reference sprite, Cinneman bun sprites (Poor guy...), Burned get hit, Hell dunk sprites, and a few of concept sprites for moves (not a big deal)Well it could have been worse, wont take to long to resprite them i guess
I think it's best if you save two copies of the same file, in case this sort of thing happens again...
Don't forget to store them in another device, if possible. You can also upload them to storage websites (like mediafire or skydrive) as private, good luck.
