Also, I think this SP was made for trolling purposes only instead of being a contribution for MUGEN, considering the "author" (Mugen-Nein-+-, aka goobypls66, a typical 4chan nickname). Also, if I were a nazi (and only if I were, not that I am actually), I would feel insulted with this SP for the reasons previously mentioned (mock to nazism, pixelation, very low res, lack of effort, etc)

While there is nothing wrong with using 1.0, I see no purpose to develop exclusively for it. The only appeal I see is instant AI activation (which is useless unless you want to watch the AI fight, but will always fall for KoF low kicks and characters that have nothing but grapples, so no challenge) and the ability to change your characters palette in-game. There might be more, but I don't see anything immensely useful -yet-.

It's more than just instant activation; Win AI is unreliable and will activate when it shouldn't (because it's a workaround). 1.0's AI works flawlessly. Then there the countless bug fixes, the fact that it doesn't crash all the time... there's really no reason not to use 1.0. It's just better in every way.

except that there are tons of good lifebars and screenpacks for winmugen that u cant use with mugen 1.0 just because winmugen plus supports low-res and high res stages and fonts etc..
so if youre trying to use a winmugen SP with high res elements on 1.0 everything looks messed up/too big and you have to re-edit the Sp/Lifebars etc with photoshop etc...
thats the most annoying thing in this winmugen vs 1.0

besides that its clearly better to use 1.0

hes not german,clearly its google translator and the ip is not in germany..im german myself and this guys a troll..
on the other hand i cant understand why people feel offended or insulted in any way
mugen is a game and many many many other games using nazis too (wolfenstein f.eg)

ok THIS screenpack DO look like for Dos mugen hahahahhah but
ive downloaded a sp for 1.0 last week in good old samurai showdown retro style and im pretty satisfied with that so i think its not about mugen 1.0 must be high res,its more about the favorite style/look of a sp.
i found it pretty boring when 1.0 was released and everything and everything had to be super-highres..

some good old SS/last blade or Sf/mvc or kof styled screenpacks with NORMAL portraits would be nice so the ''non mugen genius'' of us dont have to read tons of tutorials about making custom ports and getting photoshop and fighter factory etc..

but It's because of how far many of us came from earlier stages of mugen that looking back on it now is more of a refreshing reminder that gives off that "dam, I really used play in this resolution lmao" kind of response per say

ok thats true but it would be much more satisfiying if there were more hd chars to all these hd SP's and lifebars/Select screens etc..
i mean c'mon...youre opening the game exe. file seeing a HD intro,HD title menue,HD select Screen like SF4 or something,youre selecting a super ultra HD char portrait from Ryu (f.eg) with flames and effects and everything,thenyou see a HD vs Screen and then theres a HD stage like from blazeblue and then youre fighting with some shitty graphics old school kof or Sf or whatever chars :/
from my point of view i like it definatly much more if everything fits together..
so if im using mostly marvel/comic chars i want suitable stages/lifebars etc and no half lowres-highres mix

i think it would be great if some of our old school veteran coders and creators would be more like : back 2 da roots dudes! and creating stuff that fits together or at least some normal 1.0 stuff for all ''non-coder/genius/photoshop/edit-experts'' so that even a noob could get his own compilation done in his favorite style without learning how to convert stuff from winmugen to 1.0 or even 1.1

While I don't really see a problem with this screenpack in particular, I think people's perspectives will cause issues if posts continue to completely derail this thread. Granted, DooM had Wolfenstein Stages dressed with Swastikas everywhere and Street Fighter 2 poked fun at Russian Communism. The Blues Brothers also made fun of Nazis. In Living Color also poked a lot of fun at black culture. All of those were parodies. And from what I see, this is screenpack looks like a parody. A good one at that. But then someone could say that Wolfenstein was propaganda and In Living Color was racist when those were anything but.
