Ngl Akira Look Really Badass from the trailer but what bother me the most is that same old feedback sound effect when you punch yeh that really bother since they make changes for VF5 but not sound fx which really questions me but i just hope they don't use it. And I hope they don't use the weird voice acting like it was charming but at the same time they gotta change. That's why i didn't get into the franchise at all but i hope SEGA has to change something. (also I'm sorry for sounding very negative to the franchise because i just wanna get this out of my chest and ik everyone is hype for VF project) now ik this post will age poorly as H.

Hopefully, this time we will have a proper single-player campaign including cutscenes that finally tell the VF storyline. The closest to a complete single-player mode was Quest mode in VF4Evo.

I don't see how, the spirit of VF is in how it looks and plays, a story mode wouldn't dilute that especially not with RGG Studio at the helm.  I don't see a world where a new fighting game project launches for full price in 2025 without some kind of substantial single player modes.  After World Tour's success it's basically non negotiable.

uh... the thing i hate the most in VF is the abscence of a story mode/endings, i beat VF5 in a few minuted and aftwr that there was nothing else to do, i hate the fact that there are no endings, there is no incentive to play it in single-player, which is a shame because i like the gameplay

Ngl Whenever there is no story in this game i feel like i pretty much don't know what are characters going through hell the personality is there is just that i don't know what the Heck is going on hell VF V got dural and uhm yeh...

in that case, maybe Virtua Fighter just isn't the franchise for you then

being minimalistic in terms of story, to the point of having no character endings at all, is the entire point of Virtua Fighter having no in-game story: you weren't supposed to get story tidbits handed to you on a silver plate, you were supposed to dig deep for story details yourself...ya know, actually put in effort in your research

But for a single-player experience that's just bad design. I wouldn't buy a game for hundreds of dollars, to beat the game once with one character, and that's it. I don't have much people to play with, so it's pretty lame since when i beat the game once i beat the game with everyone else, and i don't give a damn to score/time attack.

I bet that isn't even design, it's just SEGA being lazy.
