Like I said, I assumed there was something deeper that people liked beyond where I dropped it.  And I likewise assume if I try it again with a blank slate it'll be a better experience.  Just for whatever reason at the time I played it when it was new-ish I got fed up with her role in the whole story.  Game beyond that was ok.  Bit weird Fly Me To The Moon plays in a graveyard though.  And the gravity-inverted running up buildings parts sucked.

If 3 interests me enough I may have to push up a revisit on the schedule, but we'll see how it looks.  Oddly broader Nintendo fans seem to be mixed to bashing on it on Facebook on my end, but I chalk that up just to it not being a mind-blowing trailer after 4 years.

You know what?  That was genuinely the complete wrong terminology.  I guess I was just tired when messaging that or something, but no, I apologize, prude was the completely wrong term and I don't know why I defaulted to that.  She's just a jerk.  She finds a kid and bullies her around the room.  I don't know how the story ended, but I just dropped it and moved on around the level about being in an hourglass or something.

Funny enough I forgot about Cereza, seeing up to the point Bayonetta in the present day was treating her like trash was the point where I gave up on the first game and wondered why people even like this character.

I do some day have to replay the first in full with a fresh mindset then play the sequel I've had for years now.  First time just left a bad taste in my mouth.  She's like Dante to foes but also if he was an actual prude to regular people.  I always assumed she got better as it went but meh, never cared enough to try again.

But yeah, I guess that makes some sense.  That along with the leggings, frilled skit and puffy shoulders, I guess the dress motif this time around is gothic lolita.

Yeah, but hear me out.

MCU skins at a large detriment cost to them to redesign for a minimal market return.

If the stream itself didn't say, didn't go back to double check, their social media post repeating the Smash direct news also confirmed there are still more Mii costumes.

We've covered all Smash 4 costumes that were missing the last pack, so I'm left to assume the remaining Mii costumes will be the runner-ups were highly requested but didn't make the cut.

So, you know, practice your Mii Swordsman for Sora now.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the new Bayonetta look yet or not.  Going to let it stew for a bit.  I always like the first game's look because the long hair made a lot more damn design sense because of the whole hair outfit thing.  Pigtails are an odd choice though.  Eh.

Yes, that was the first thing I was stuck mulling over compared to the rest of the 4-year long awaited trailer with all the cool action scenes and the kaiju and whatnot.  No, I'm not a real Bayonetta fan.

3D open world Kirby has been a LONG time coming.  Never thought they'd actually do it though since Kirby fell into a second to third-tier Nintendo series in popularity and the devs ever since the Gamecube couldn't agree with how to do it.  So just from a long-time fan it's real good to see happening at all.  Though I do see some of that 2D to 3D transition issue they've brought up prior.  Seemingly manual targeting where you're spitting enemies and the neutered flying Kirby's known for.  Ah well.  I will still likely get this one just because they finally made the jump if nothing else.

Also I did not play Astral Chain, been interested but not a top priority.  But that mascot dog is from that other Platinum series, yeah?  Was I unaware the two share a universe?  Because that was also something that I was unsure with the whole gameplay trailer.  The locals didn't exactly ring Bayonetta setting to me.  Granted I only played half the first game but this trailer gave a lot of odd focus on Japan's military.

Chris Pratt does not strike me as someone who can do a convincing Italian stereotype naturally.  If it's just Pratt just doing his regular voice then that's going to be disappointing.

No real huge opinions on the rest.  Charles is probably going to be cameoing Wario and Waluigi I'd assume.  Outside the fever dream acid trip that was the 3D cartoon, did Donkey Kong really ever talk outside basic exclamations like "Okay!" and "Yeah!"?  Never mind Seth Rogan, I'm just trying to picture Kong forming articulate sentences.  Unless it is just Seth just saying a single word here and there.  Which is probably the funnier choice, actually.

If anything Keegan-Michael Key as Toad is the standout weird one to me.  Because Toad just communicates in "BUP" or gargling ear bleeding.

They said it was focused on winter releases.  I don't recall what previous Directs that also included a Smash reveal said in their description.  If they also said they had a Smash announcement, then no, this one announced today makes no mention of Smash.  If they didn't yet threw one in anyways, sure I guess.  They are running out of time in the year rapidly, especially if they want a hype session carried on up to and after the final DLC for the game.  But still perfectly viable they can hold off all the way until December if they so want.

The main Nintendo exclusive winter release that I imagine they'd want to capitalize on is the new Pokemon, and being a gen 4 remake it already has its own fanbase in tow.  So that's still my logical conclusion.  Pokemon isn't exactly as small as Fire Emblem where even if it were to disappoint it wouldn't be as detrimental as it was to Byleth, if it is something Pokemon related.  But at this point I'm good on it being whoever.  Waluigi, new Monster Hunter thing, hell double dip on the Undertale meme what with the new Deltarune having dropped recently and have Papyrus upstage Sans as a full character.  Just no more Fire Emblem, please.

Also the smallest of small glimmer of hope what with Nintendo genuinely strangely backing Metroid's marketing push with Dread makes me want to hope it's something to promote that, but that would be hypocritical to wish that but be against Fire Emblem.  Bleh.

I thought it was more recent than that.  Still years old, but from the release of Super's manga.  Eh, whenever it happened, that's the general gist of it anyways.  I personally always correlated the Dragon Ball and DBZ anime to the GT timeline, since the franchise might not do anything new with it but it won't ever let it actually die in the public eye thanks to how everyone and their mother loves SSJ4.  GT makes references to anime filler that Kai and Super just ignore.  Don't quite know how it works with the dozen OVAs out there, because GT also references them yet I always thought the fanbase-wide interpretation was the movies were all in their own timeline with events shifted or deleted to make room for World's Strongest and Cooler and Broly and whatnot.

ANYWAYS, decades old filler aside, I was actually not at all aware the current Dragon Ball canon does not count Goku hitting his head as a child rendering him without his innate Saiyan barbarism but also is why he's a massive idiot.  I had always considered that to be a key part of Dragon Ball's whole legacy, his change of heart at such an early age is where his whole pure heart stuff came from.  Elsewise he was destined to just grow up to be another Raditz.  Not a fan if that's the case its been changed.  Not a fan at all.

But the anime and manga contradictions are voided now, aren't they?  Toriyama had some press briefing on them both being equally canon or something akin to that years ago.  I mean, yeah, it's STUPID, it causes all sort of wrinkles in the finer details, but that was their take on why Super has two interpretations of the same story with its anime and manga as well.  Plot beats in one end of the story are supposed to be assumed happened in the other I guess is the takeaway intention they were going for.

Huh.  I wasn't picturing the character to end up being a hercules beetle fighting Shovel Knight, but hey.  Thanks.  Yeah, that seems like one way around the show character's issues.  Also seems a broken way at edge guarding but I'll leave that one up to the Melee pros.

Would you mind showing off this character?  Never touched Rivals of Aether but that sounds generally like what the character does in the show so I'm curious.

Oh and on Vegeta, it's strange to make a boast how Ultra Ego can immediately boost him up from 0% to 100% as soon as it goes up.  Because wasn't that the point of Super Saiyan Blue?  Ki control and all that fluff?

Eh.  I get it, that's fine enough.  Still was weird in just the singular show's context.

That reminds me I still need to catch the Tony Stark/Kilmonger episode.  After I watch Black Panther at some point.

So far the series has been a mixed bag personally.  Liked the Doctor Strange episode and T'Challa as Starlord episode, parts of the Carter one too, but the rest have been forgettable.  Really thought the zombie episode was gonna lean more into the comic version with them retaining some semblance of self instead of just one of a million zombie flicks where the zombies are established as nothing further beyond an obstacle.  Oh well.

Oh also I went through all of WandaVision.  I see why its a bit polarizing now.  The whole real world aspect of the show is quite drab and boring and the final two/three episodes derailing the already out-there t.v. sitcom aspect to left turn into the Salam Witch Trials (Or the witches of Salam doing their own personal trial.  Yes, directors, very cute, very clever) and throw in a villain to actually fight didn't sit very well with me.  Did not care in the slightest for Agatha.  But, the aspects of delving into why Wanda isn't really that much of a hero and really quite selfish but sympathetic were interesting enough to carry the show.

Also hi White Vision.  Bye White Vision.  Literally was there for all of 5 or so minutes just to get logic bombed and piss off.  Weird they didn't give him more to do.  The Ship of Theseus parallels were neat though.

It hasn't come up much in discussions that I've seen, but I wonder now what they plan for alt. colors?  Probably jam in as many references as they can, but I also assume they're not allowed to alter someone like SpongeBob's appearance too drastically just for marketing purposes.

The turtles are probably going to get the same raw deal Sonic does in Smash Bros. since they're all color coordinated and have super minimal physical differences between one-another.  Leonardo's probably just going to get 8 choices along the blue color scale on his bandana.

Ah cool, DLC confirmed.  If not already in the base game, then my number one expected character they'd have to do is Squidward.  SpongeBob is Nick's Super Mario, it can't have too much overrepresentation, and everyone loves Squidward.  Even the ones who haven't watched or like SpongeBob.

We’ve seen gameplay footage of a stage from the Avatar series. Who might we expect from the original series or The Legend of Korra to be part of the roster?

Hopefully, your favorite! All in due time.
Surprise me, Ludocity.  Make my day.  Have an Appa/Momo tag team character.

The point on Beerus erasing Zamasu from existence yet Goku Black continuing to exist is a good point to bring up.  That may negate Reverse Flash's whole ace in the hole.  Even if he does eliminate a prior Zamasu, Goku Black should still continue to exist.  I don't remember WHY that was the case and I don't particularly want to rewatch Super, never mind my least favorite arc, but I'm assuming it has something to do with Black being labeled a whole new being thus his history begins at the wish to swap his and Goku's bodies around.  So the earliest Reverse Flash should go to following his life in reverse would be.....here?

Which hey, that IS an extremely weaker Goku Black to the rest of the series when he figures out how to use that body's powers.....but it's still a Saiyan Beyond God base form Goku Black, that whole x9 universal scaling and whatnot.
