About the sprite itself, I think few minor details can be tweaked, also perhaps the orange can have a variant of shade.
(Sorry, not easy to tell in english) -> Like giving more redish tones in the orange darker shading.

way better!
The weapon is a bit thin.
And arm holding it (biceps area) can be better.

But overall, it looks like the "fast" Billy we know!

Wanted to show Cammy. This time Iwent ffor something which is not an official artwork or even a sketch from the ingame. I decided to use SF2M Cammy because Iliked it more than her robotic from the games (there are 2 that however are cool).

Enough chit chat:


Of course, there are some differences. Face anle isnot perfect, her right arm biceps-triceps area is nt that well done(I think I'll be revisiting it though) and you clearly can say where I was centering efforts, because of the folder like butt they put in the movie. And I wanted to give her something which yells CAMMY instead. And yes, I mixed the leg band from SF5 and the cammo details from SF2 because I like the mix between those.

I'm doing Alex's portrait ATM. But that guy's dorsal and inner musles are hard to do T_T

I like the colors and the way you converted this portrait, but as you said, there are some parts to improve.
I'll give my ideas just to help improve... It's already nice! :)
-I would tweak the shape of berret.
-Chin area is a bit too rough/manly perhaps
-Yeah, the lower part or triceps need some more definition.
-the red shades on gauntlet are a bit too contrasted I think.
-Upper body is OK, but the butt area is a bit exagerated and too pushed up. (it's shading area make it a bit square or something)
-Usually Capcom girls have thighs almost "linked" to butt, in term of thickness. I think hers are a bit too thin.
(reminds me instagram girls cliché (?) doing lot of squats to have a bubble butt and their legs are weak as f*.

I know it's unfinished and my feedback is a bit big, but I'm sure there is soo much potential.
Because I always like your sprites.

I had a thought coming to my mind while looking at my folder of sprites and seeing this two:



now, both have actual CVS chars using their sprites from real bout and kof respectively, so I was wonder, it is whortless to make a spritesheet of them with those desings?

I have a preference for Hon-Fu. Also, not a big fan of Billy's design in this KOF...

About Hon-Fu, it can be fun.
Right now he looks a bit "bubbly" (not sure how to describe)
And some anatomy problem in shoulder area of his straight arm.
But he would match well with CVS style characters.

Yes, perhaps his RB2 sprites can be used as a base for it.
I mean, for you to actually sprite over.

Thanks!! yeah its just a test pallette, later gonna add more and more colours... The 3d model its download from the web and edited with Autodesk mudbox, later the animation in Autodesk 3ds max, and the renders a mix between max and keyshot and finally are edit in Adobe Photoshop...its a long process, but the result its a close a 2d cartoon sprite...

Here a similar sample of the process for a idea..... ;D

Yes, I remember this Kof 13 method.
So you do something similar...

No problem if you're adding / posting some news! ;)
Looks good even if it lacks of "weight" also, the shadding is a bit too "grey" = same color as normal but darker.
--> this shadding should be more colorful and it would look better.

I'm curious about your process for making such sprites...
-You created or edited models (Blender?)
-How you created frames of animation (software ?)
-Also how you captured them in the right resolution (and keep same palette etc)

I almost completely "rejected" the game like 3-4 DLC ago...
But this is the old classic fighting game player expectations to have first characters like JAM, Johnny, Slayer, Dizzy...
When I look at the actual roster, beside of Sol and Chipp, I don't feel so "concerned"

Hard to explain.

Sure that in 2023 you will always find an audience for a "little girl in a bed as a character."

What have been pointed before. ^^
The torso width changind during his light punch.
Also perhaps lower part of his pants moving a bit too much. (becoming big or something)
Always try to use references (not just for poses, but also for how a character's outlines have very similar transition bewteen frames.
-> having a look at Ryu's light punch would help.

Not sure if you have this problem with other animations.
I like the fact you give a chance to Abel.



Yeah Im trying that, I did it  with the Captain Kidd I posted in the cvs sprite thread, I was  looking at Ryu's muscles as a example, that's something Felo also told me.

I also want to give Akira a chance, and maybe retweek Chucho's Juri.

Akira would be great... But if it was me, I would take on her school uniform version.
(I know no one else will prefer this costume, so I understand you would go for the biker/classic version)

Love this full set. Even if I'm not happy with all the design changes in this game, you make me want to play all these characters :D
And you really managed to capture their personnality

Tried to make a CVS sprite of Captain Kidd from World Heroes


I like the idea. Never have enough of ADK sprites.
I would have not used these colors, but looks nice.
I think the muscular details can be better... But still nice.

Actually, at this point, the "bulky" part on boots is now part of Rabano's design... Some kind of trademark.

Sure it looks a bit strange, since the base sprite used didn't had this bulky thing.
But it would require editing this part on all freaking sprites ^^;

About torso proportions change, yes I also noticed it in some other animations, but it's not a major problem.
I would say this problem is really a problem in subtle movements like idle anim, light punch, walk etc.

I started playing Street Fighter Duel, and I kinda like the desing of one of the common enemies called Sanji, so I wanted to make a sprite of him:

I'm just not sure about the proportions. He seems really short for this style of sprite/character.
