the fantasy creations are so much right now its like no one uses them or they are good enough. You can even call this whole mugen a cartoon based fighter., ok now im stretching that definition by alot but  you know , Fantasy is what all these characters are. Kof, SF, Goku.
Cartoon shit like pokemon, animated shows are there in Mugen. Anime , and whatever the hell else. Like Batman vs Akuma, Batman is a good sprited cartoon character right there, ppl love this guy. The turtles they are there. Theres so much out there that you can compile it. Like dragons and shit. I wouldnt even know what the f they are called.

If you mean like original creations on mugen, i havent seen much good ones, but i do see a whole lot of shit from some older games that its ridiculous.i just kno Street Fighter and some major companies that made good amounts of spritesheets .There has to be original creations and artwork obvioisly not used here in mugenguild. Someone can take those and make a character out if it. Art right now is easy man, you dont have to even search, its right there.
I saw the simpsons shit, man they are horrible to play as. But its alright, those were made by one artist with almost 0 coding skills. You got that coding skill. So that NY shoe couldve been even greater. I like shoes btw.

I'm not sure what you're asking here tbh.... Are you asking why someone would want well established fighting game chars over someone like...Charlie Brown or something? Well, I'd say Ume already answered that. Especially when it comes to creation, I'd wager 90% of creators got into Mugen because they are/or at one time were practitioners in FGs. Had I myself not been into FGs, Mugen would have never caught my attention. I don't see the lack of fantasy though as you seem to be implying. Even with said roster. Most will have chars that have never been in the same game, at the same time. Or even with specific mechanics. A lot of them may have chars that weren't ever made in pixel format prior.

Whether it's Capcom, SNK, etc. Doesn't that still fit the criteria of fantasy? Especially if you mash those chars together. Let's be real here, there's little to no chance of these companies actually doing anything close to what a lot of creators here in Mugen have done. Mainly due to licensing rights, getting along with one another, and interest at all. There isn't gonna be another Capcom vs SNK. There isn't gonna be a Capcom x Shonen Jump or something else of the like. There won't even be a SF game with all the chars from previous games. Those only exist in fantasy lol. They can only exist here.
Yo, Mortal Kombat. Got Terminator, Robo-Cop. Tekkens got Aluma, STrert Fighter with those Fighting Layer costumes,. Examples of what companies are trying to do instead of being just about themselves. Fantasy is what exists and the potential is really high.

Not everything for Mugen has to revolve around a human throwing punches and flinging weapons.  I'd play a pair of timbs vs 8-bit sprites of custom gameplay because that's why I like about fiddling with Mugen.  I keep a seperate roster for these kinds of stuff.

Its not that same tho, Anime rosters dont have characters with good cartoon art, aka sprites. There are tons of new games out now that you can nake sprites of but havent yet. Fantasy is definitly there buddy, with so many characters to choose from , where are you gonna start looking for characters? Known fighters and their characters in so many formats that even your fantasies' expectation is shattered.

You forgot to mention Mortal Kombat and some awesome full games of it. Theres also all those pokemon shit too, if you love Pikachu he can be found, what elese.. Rosters man.. Alot of ppl have full hardrive worth of that shit , its not a joke

Sakura animation in SFV are far from being lazy lmao

I will not go too deep into it, because everyone have his own level to accept effort put into art/animation/music etc.
Sakura's SF4 animations were (from my own point of view) really dynamic. Using some of the best "rules" "advices" of animation.
SF5 didn't for some of the animations, particularly Sakura's normals. when some other moves are very well animated.

About Benimaru, the pose is pretty OK to me.
Perhaps just the "frame" of animation itself gives a strange feeling.
a bit too artificial or something, hard to explain.
But again, everyone have his own acceptation of such work.

Yea this nigga is right on that, SFV Sakuras animation is pretty much ass tier. Meaning it sucks ass. I would confirm lazy attemlt (even though i didnt see the animator working his ass off)
Even if it wasnt lazy, you can see just how bad it is. Cody has very bad animations. That Lucia bish also feels kinda wierd.. Well that leaves idiot G..

Well Deathscythe, linking to Youtube is not bad , the link can be in his "more Info" area and not only that , he can  put mugenguild.com in his socialmedia as well as he shares his creation, (while getting views) people will also see our forum, and what Mugen does,
 So he posts his link to youtube, and in description he can show directlink, and put Mugenguild.com and his post as well in it as an example. It shouldnt hurt us really

I was promoting BATTLEBORN on here and was met with straight up carnage like comments on here,  and thats an official game  , besides I want to  show Mugenguild more variety and get updated on various things too, so they keep going, i dont want to see the MugenGuild lost either, so what am i saying?

shun'ei is genuinely the worst designed character in the series, and i actually liked sylvie's design a lot. they couldn't decide between a dated visual kei look or just aping the latest trends from games like persona when they designed him. the rolled up pant leg, the stupid little headphones, the tie, the dumb hands that look like wings. he's like a bad joke when you put him next to the designs of most of the cast.

kyo's issues seem to come from the fact their 3D modeling team possibly dont know how to age him, he looks like a cross between a full grown adult and a young child. its not as bad as his mannequin look from XIV, but still pretty bad looking.

mais arms strongly remind me of the "wacky inflatable tube man" joke from family guy
Shun Ei, is a pick among alot, definitly not the worst bro, its somebody else that was in Kof 12 and 13.. Looking all gay, oh who was that?  Wore red

KOF isnt a joke, its pulling out its version 2, and KOF usuually does good job on it , like KOF 13(despite some dissapointments to how characters look).   Man you guys never satisfied with KYo.. Some guys have said why Terry would help Rugal at all, . The idea on that is that Rugal was in dire need when Terry happened to go run in and while eating a burger noticed something was off. Hes very good at this. Rugal maybe being manipulated by another new  boss, and Rugal barely has any strength left but must follow orders or die.. Again

KOF usually gives alot of characters and visual style is always improving , Capcom on the other hand dissapointed us by giving us an Oro instead of Sean or Adon. I can agree with Ned that Shermie needs to be in, maybe can see Rugal dying and then being helped by Terry

correct, the pose is spot on, there is no need to,   the SF2 (original) looks a bit stiff compared to Sf alpha, its the second thing i instantly just looked at, i just figured out what the difference was. its the line in her inner thigh going down, and the bigger hips, and it does have a natural feel to it, hmm now i can understand how good those artists were, the Alpha based ones, but you already knew that by now

the animating part is whole different phase unlike how we normally think,  we think " animation should be no problem", then you try it and it comes out stiff and action-figure-like. pretty much what MDCGD said; and  it will be another learning curve and maybe you can just copy the frames as is from the Spritesheets of Cammy, i had done NSFW works using Mai's Walking frames to Lei Lei as practice, looked stiff but the animation came out ok,.

Your Cammy's kick just needs a different "ender" meaning, after the kick, she can recoil a different way instead of looping the animation back. I do see that you did a quick method, and its very good process,  your quality of the sprites are very good too, no doubt. The variant costumes are such a nice addition,I will try to learn this technique as well, thanks for showing your progresses, keep it up
