Alex Kidd in Trouble rock, paper, scissors


A fun little project I made in homage to the 30 years of Alex Kidd (2016)

Combat is simple rock, paper, scissors. The commands are left and right.
In the event of a tie, a 5-element system (wuxing) is automatically executed, giving a chance to break the tie.



In this update,
in homage to the 35 years of the Master System in Brazil
, the way doubles fights are played is improved, preventing two-on-one fights from occurring.
From the video, you can see:

Thumb is player 1 and fights against Gooseka, who is player 2
Mudra is player 3 and faces Parplin, player 4.

After Parplin is defeated, Mudra waits for the rest of the fight...
If Thumb were to lose, a fight would occur between Mudra and Gooseka.

.   Ainda não tenho como completar a minha versão do personagem antes disso, mas como cortesia do dia dos pais, estou subindo nesses links os betas do T-1000 e da T-X que estou fazendo.
.   Espero que curtam, mesmo faltando algumas coisas (hipers por exemplo, no caso da T-X).

I've made a special TTT game called " Battle! " using only javascript and images from the game Neverwinter Nights for PC.
It's basically Tic-tac-toe with a battle system based on numbers.

Actually the joke is in the title of the thread.

This release doesn't try to imitate the POTS style but rather uses it as an enchantment to improve the character's old features.

Changes:
========
* Power charging effect 'changed' to POTS style (blue color)
* Special effect 'changed' to POTS style level 3 (blue color)
* Finishing effect 'changed' to POTS style (blue color)

* The three powers scheme is back
* Different voice system (previously done with freqmul) was restored with sounds edited in Audacity.
* New attacks and specials added for each power (check the 0readme.html)

* Improved experience and level system
* Improved finishing moves
* Added electrocultated, burned and frozen animations
* Parry (c)
* Nico Douga comments XD

* Improved color palette and 'some' sprites fixed
* Drill special can be controlled (moving like in the snake game)
* New animations for intro, standby and victory
* Kaduken changed to Gadoken

* Winmugen version included (working with POTS effects)

That happens in some old versions of FFU when you save the chars(air) with a big zoom applied on the UI...

You might check in your air (or fighter factory) to see if this occours before the gravity command (time > 16)

I just found a funny bug using these two stages on MUGEN1.1

I usually only use MUGEN1.1 to test the zoom of my stages... all that abrupt zoom makes me dizzy ;p

When you set resetBG=1 everything on the stage is supposed to reset in round 2, right?
Somehow the values of Sin Y were not reseted correctly making the spaceships move very boring XD

After reseting the SinY values manually the problem is gone!

Sorry I didn't appear last week because of a little trip to Bahamas.


Today I wanna talk about my progress flirt with the sprites of Tuki the snake, some bad and good news came out.

The bad news first!

Since the spritesheet release I decided to use she as a Mugen character, so I started to do color redution for a big amount of time (one year or so). I couldnt use the png directly because of my computer issues with openGl.
 
After that, the next step was color separation and palette construction (another year or so to complete). Reducing the large number of colors to just 124.

So right now after creating this thread I decided to check the files, make the sff and test the char... and for my surprise, theres still a lot of work to be done...

Because of the amount of sprites I did some automation to make the pcx files and most of them got terrible 'dust corners'. I DON'T HAVE BACKUPS of the previous sprites so... I cleaning all the dust sprite by sprite... (hope it takes less than a year)




Good news?
I am not closing the thread yet  :lol:

I got some advances in the flirt with Drache and the palette is almost complete.
I noticed some ugly repetition of frames in there... why you cant just make a little note in the sheet "repeat this and reuse that"... The amount of work doing the disassemble and comparation will probably dismiss the final credits (sorry).
