Hello again, everyone;

Apologies for not keeping you guys updated. I have continued to work on this project, but very slowly due to personal issues.

For starters, I have just edited a few frames. But I will continue to do so.

Also, it's official that the palettes that are used for the CS Cammy can be used on this Cammy, keeping in mind that the arms and face share the same colors. Apart from that, the palettes can be used. (I will most likely show you in a future video. There are just so many palettes now!  :o)

And lastly, I have managed to make her taunt to be a random animation from the three that are for this char (one being her edited version of the 'cut-throat' animation, and two new ones). Thanks to Bad Mr. Basara for his help.  ;D

I will continue to work on this Cammy, and keep you guys updated. Hopefully I will do so shortly.

STOP STOP!! Don't confuse the boy, just make the multiple taunts in the CNS only!!

Tiger-Boy, leave the CMD commands just like the default state. These are the commands:

Only focus on the CNS, if you want different taunts with the same button, make the state 195 as an empty one and put this:

Basically the 195 is where you put the random vars so the 3 others (rename them as 196, 197 and 198) can vary randomly. I use these codes for intros and wins, but also can work into taunts (in fact it's from one of my chars where I changed intros for taunts for this explanation). The var(x) can be any number (I use numbers like 10 or 11 for intros and wins) while don't clash with other vars you got in your character

I tried this and it worked! Now the 'start' button will use 1 of 3 random animation.

The Command codes have been left as they were. Here is the updated code for the taunts on the CNS file:

Also, I had to use a "[State ###, End]: command after each animation command, or the animation will loop.

Probably because you defined your command wrong, or don't even have the command block defined.
As the above posts said, for you, the command block should look like this in the .cmd (command) file:

[Command]
name = "start"
command = s
time = 1

you need to put this with all the other command blocks.  Don't put it under any of the negative statedefs.

You mean this?



If so, then it gives me the error mentioned above when I change 'start' to 's'.

that's because they're all in the CMD file.
Download Fighter Factory 3 and test it out. It makes switching between the files pretty easy.

Check if you have

[Command]
name = "s"
command = s
time = 1
and change "start" to "s" and it should work fine.

Use different (sequential [195, 196, 197...]) statedef numbers for each taunt. Locate the command for taunt in the statedef -1 portion of the command file and use the statedef number of the first taunt as a value with the random trigger with the Remainder operator and the total amount of taunts wanted as the divisor of random.

Code:
[State -1, Taunt]
type = ChangeState
value = 195 + (random%3) ; The expression in the parenthesis will return a number between 0 and 2.
triggerall = statetype = S
triggerall = command = "start"
trigger1 = ctrl

I managed to use diferent sequestial numbers for the taunts, as advised:

But I cant find the command for taunt in the statedef -1. In fact, I cant find it in this or any cns files.
How should I search for it?

So, the character I am working on, has 3 Taunts, all with animations and sounds.

I believe all 3 to be good, but I can choose only one.

But is there a way for me to use all three, and the system chooses one of the taunts at random during gameplay?

Hello Everyone;

There is not much to report since I have not updated Cammy, but in no way it means I have not kept working on her.

First, I have fixed an issue with some of her sprites (frames) that had color differences when using certain palettes:

This normally happens when I upload a new original frame to the char (like the edited sprites from DrPotem).
There were not many and fixing them was easy, but since I had to edit them pixel by pixel, it took some time.
So far, I see no more issues like this.

Also, I managed to figure out how to add Collision Hit Boxes to the new taunt (it was not that hard).
Now, she officially has her 'stretch' animation as her 'Taunt'.

Her previous taunts are still available, and can be can be brought back by editing her coding.

Plus, I edited, updated and created palettes. 
There are 18 palettes in total so far:


Additional palettes can be created by the time this Cammy is released.
What is interesting, is that it seems I can use the palettes from the updated Cammy on this one.
I still have to confirm it, but if it can be done, perhaps color separation wont be necessary, and it will give more color options.

Nice, And Dr Potem did a great base here.

Stretch pose give me a strange feeling with belly moving a lot and not aven a pixel moving in lower body.
(I'm not so familliar with SF5 Cammy)

The edit did not change anything in the animation. I believe it came out quite well for a pixelated animation, compared the the original:

I use horizontal lines as a reference of how high is the boot and redraw, you can use SF2 cammy as a reference to redraw his boots

Now, for a small update:
I have not been able to do much due to Work. But on my free-time, I managed to do some things:
I used some sprites provided by DrPotem to create a frontal stand of Cammy:

With this, I created a new Win Pose, where she looks over the opponent once the match is finished.

Also, the Street Fighter 5 taunt is done. There are two animations:

I have not added the Taunt yet, as I need to work on adding the hitboxes (if anyone know how to, let me know).

OMG, I love where this project is going.

When you say adapt image ? You talk about palette work ? I'm not the best for it, I have a method, but it's a bit tedious and not so effective, like mos of mine. Perhaps you can ask on the help thread. ?

About boots, If you can possibly "take it" on in the future, I would "not mind" having to wait long time.
Also, Whenever you need it, I can share with you my tests about Cammy boots design, some of the process is still visible. And can be helpful.


I think I managed to do it.
I took the SpriteSheet, and cut out the 'Taunt 2' sprites. From there, I believe I managed to change the colors without having to go spot-by-spot:

But I have to check the colors in FF, then adapt them to the sprite in Photoshop Elements.
If anyone knows how I can do this easier, I would appreciate it if they let me know.  :neutral:

It's a real shame.
Ohgaki's Cammy it's so good and have a lot of potential, but it will only fit in a NamcoXCapcom game.
It can't be used in others MUGEN games like CVS, SFA, SNK, not even Pocket Fighter.
An edit of the size of the head would have made this char adaptable to any MUGEN roster, and would be highly demanded and downloaded.
A real shame indeed.

No harm done. I will blame translation. As an artist, you have given me advices that have been very helpful.

The Ohgaki version would not be that hard to edit. Just change the size of the head, and lower the muscle-tone to make it look less SSF2. It would require some work, but not as much as the Cammy I am working on.

Regarding the boots, I don't need to copy/paste. I just need a guide, and then I can do it. Perhaps I can manage to add the boots myself. I just need to know how. The Juli sprites will be useful. I will do some tests and let you know so you can give me your feedback.

I would rather sprite over Tiger-Boy's Cammy when she is done, If I'm happy with the result, and still have motivation when it finally happens.

I like the progress, again. Very pleasing.
But I can't wait to finally play a modern 2D cammy with complete Delta Red attire.

Actually, I had many moment's I was about to make my own Cammy edit (with boots, because I cannot wait anymore)
But I hate the idea we split works instead of combine work together :)

One day, I might just give up and go ahead to edit Ohgaki's Cammy into an adult-size version with proper CVS style.
I think his work have more potential than any official Cammy spriteset ever made.

There is no guarantee that you will like the final result of this work.
This is a hobby for me, and I have mentioned before that it will take some time for this project to be finished, due to the many errors and incomplete frames it has.
This char is intended for the MUGEN community, not for you only. So, you have no obligation to wait for it.
If you feel it's for the best for you to work on other 'Cammy's that have more potential (in your eyes) than the one I am working on, you have every right to do so.
