Mega Man X by N64Mario, alongside his Guile.
I remember not knowing anything about mugen, it was difficult to even add characters, there was little to no information back then, Mega Man X was the first character I successfully added and I was so happy when I saw him in the select screen lol

Just keep in mind that she is unfinished and I'm not sure if I will continue her. However I'm sharing here because she is fully playable.
Tested only on 1.1, should work fine in 1.0.

If you're going to use her, or, if you're going to edit/finish her, PLEASE read the "what is missing.txt". There are a lot of useful information there.

For the testers and feedback maniacs out there, even though I'll probably not work on her anymore, I'd like to hear your thoughts. I worked a lot on her and that was my first time using JZ's tables. Speaking of which...

So, I saw people were asking about me on discord.

In the middle of working on Sakura I noticed how well experienced other authors are and how little I know about FG compared to them, which made me have one of those existential crisis and I lost interest on continuing her. And, if that wasn't enough, I don't have as much free time as I had because I started a new job. I can't even sleep well anymore, and as y'all may know, making content for MUGEN takes time. That's why now I just comment in one topic or another and that's it.

tldr: i got tired of the mugen + work is killing me and now I have barely any free time.

About Sakura, I want to finish her, I want to make her unique. She is like 80% coded, just needed to add 2 or 3 supers and the finishing touches. However since I have almost no free time now, it's hard to get interested on continuing her. Who knows...

I mean, this is probably THE most asked question about mugen.
Anyway, you need to modify things in the system.def, more specificaly the number of rows and columns and probably the size and spacing of the cells. Really depends on the screenpack, but yeah, you're going to mess only with system.def.

Sobre o inglês, no meu caso, vejo muito filme em inglês sem legenda. É ótimo pra treinar a audição já que eles falam bem rápido. Ainda prefiro ver dublado quando vou ver pela primeira vez, porém acabo vendo a versão original sem legenda se gosto bastante do filme porque já percebi uma coisa: muitas piadas e referências se perdem na dublagem. Um exemplo é nesse filme novo do Batman, um filme como esse você TEM que ver em inglês pra pegar todas as referências, o motivo disso é o vilão do filme ser o Charada, e ele deixa as charadas em inglês, geralmente com as respostas sendo trocadilhos. A primeira charada do filme é um trocadilho:
"What happens when you kill a liar?"
"He lies still"
Essa reposta pode ser lida com duplo sentido:
"O que acontece quando você mata um mentiroso?"
"Ele fica deitado" ou "Ele continua mentindo"
Não tem como trazer isso pra dublagem em português, quando vi o filme dublado tiveram que adaptar essa parte e o trocadilho original se perdeu.

Outro exemplo um pouco mais simples é nos filmes do Doutor Estranho. Já percebi que sempre quando fazem piada com o nome dele, acaba ficando estranho (piada não intencional :v) na versão dublada. Stephen Strange é o nome dele no original, as vezes chamando ele só de Strange. Em uma cena entre ele o miranha, eles se apresentam e acontece o trocadilho:
"I'm Peter by the way..."
"Doctor Strange"
"Oh, you're using made up names, then I'm Spider-Man."
O que é engraçado aqui é que ele fala o nome real dele, Strange. Na versão dublada trocam pra Estranho, então é como se ele realmente tivesse usando um nome de super-herói.

Além disso, também vejo muito vídeo no youtube em inglês e, no caso de ler/escrever, participo de vários servidores gringos no discord, uma das minhas melhores amigas é nativa dos EUA e eu sempre converso com ela em inglês, entre outras coisas. Querendo ou não acabo absorvendo bastante o idioma, chega uma hora que você nem sente mais diferença, se torna algo natural.


Enfim, sobre o "diário", saquei, quer deixar tipo um legado (?). Como eu disse, sou a favor do compartilhamento de informação, mesmo que já tenha bastante por aí. Sempre vai ter coisa que um sabe e o outro não.

Não vi a matéria, mas já imaginava que não eram japas. Sei lá, não tem muita coisa em japa nos documentos, então nem me passou pela cabeça isso. Vou dar uma olhada na matéria.

So I have seen edits of some Tatsu / Shiyo Kakuge stages here and there, but can't find them. To be more specific:
1. An edit of Geese Tower with a palette that is more close to the source stage, instead of the lighter palette from Shiyo's onedrive;
2. An edit of Final Fight Bay Area, a day version with blue sky instead of a sunset;
I don't know who made those tho. And while I'm here, I also would like to ask for the Training stage also by Shiyo Kakuge, the original one since this is not in his onedrive folder.

If anyone can hand me those I'd be very thankful. ;D

Eu sempre quis fazer um tutorial bem completinho de mugen. Tanto em forma de texto como usando alguns exemplos em vídeo para uma melhor visualização. O problema é que muito do que eu tentaria explicar já está nos documentos, é questão de ler... as pessoas não aprendem porque tem preguiça de ler, querem ir fazer personagem avançado sem antes saber o básico.

"Ai mas tá tudo em inglês e eu não sei inglês"
Hoje em dia, é imprescindível saber inglês, toda informação chega sempre primeiro na gringa, logo se você não sabe inglês já é um baita atraso. Além disso, tradutores existem, não são perfeitos mas quebram um galho. No caso de mugen, eu diria até que é muito mais fácil de aprender do que outros programas e linguagens. O arquivo CNS é bem autoexplicativo, 90% do que você lê ali você consegue deduzir o que faz sem precisar pensar muito.

Enfim, sobre eu querer fazer o tutorial, o que me faltou pra fazer o tutorial foi tempo e principalmente vontade. Eu tenho um pequeno defeito de desistir muito fácil, eu planejo várias coisas que muitas vezes não vão pra frente, eu até começo mas desisto no meio por falta de incentivo ou porque acho que no final vai virar uma coisa que ninguém liga muito. Já tem vários tutoriais por aí, a maioria em inglês, mas já vi alguns do Ilusionista e do DarkSideJoe em português, e devem ter mais que eu não conheço, e mesmo assim sempre tem gente perguntando coisa ali e aqui.

Mesmo assim, se você quiser mesmo fazer algo assim, eu apoio! Com certeza você deve saber coisas que eu não sei, e é sempre interessante compartilhar conhecimento. Boa sorte!

I don't get what you mean by SF Alpha sprites not meshing well with CvS since in the original CvS/CvS2 they reused many of the alpha sprites...
I don't know if you ONLY want edited sprites for the characters you mentioned, or if you want them with whatever style the sprites are but with CvS/PotS gameplay.

Mugen content should NEVER be monetized in the first place. The only form of getting money from it that I think is ok is comissions. In this case, taking assets from other authors (not to mention the characters being property of a big company) makes it even worse. Even if you made everything youself (sprites, sounds, code), if you really want to profit, you're better off producing an indie game.

Don't know if it's useful for you but "HitPauseTime" exists. It starts at the value you set and decreases every tick, when it reaches 0, the pause is over.
