             Greetings fellow fighters and enthusiasts,

After a few month hiatus due to all kinds of inconvenience, we are excited to announce another UMT tournament coming up on August 13th @ 4pm PDT. We'll be doing Turns Mode instead of Ratio like last time.



A quick peak at our roster. We could use some more fighters! Consider joining us if you want. More details to be announced.

What kind of issues?

From what I've been told, most classic fighters (good ones) handle commands like this. Motions and buttons separate. but anyways, I dont know too much. but I've been using it for a long time now and it's pretty good.

There is such a thing called Turtlewax, aka JZ & Vans deep buffering system, rewritten specifically for IKEMEN GO. The zss version was rewritten by Jesuszilla and the lua version was more recently remade by kamekaze. Both are which are very good, and fix double press issues. Doing akuma's ashura senkuu has never felt easier!

The great part about this deep buffering system exclusively for IKEMEN GO, is that you can apply it simply very easily to any character. It no longer looks like a jumbled mess like it does in MUGEN.

With how simple it is to implement these command buffers, you could take older works like Warusaki3's stuff or even other Japanese creators work and very easily implement the new a better command buffers, without needing to do the insane shitload amount of work you would have to do in MJGEN.

Also, if someone is using mostly stuff from Jmorphman/Karma C type of work, they already got explodsive buffer, so there's no need to use the default ikemen  input system.

MUGEN is still more popular due to how long it has been around, and because many MUGEN users are usually content with the lack of online fight capabilities (not everyone can use parsec). IKEMEN GO on the other hand has a growing fighting player base which is good, due to how easy it is to get matchmaking done.

I passed by during the live to have a look at you guys.
Looks pretty fun.

But I'm not sure I would have enough skills to win even 1 round.
Particularly considering that some of these characters versions are absolutely unknown for me :)

Thanks, just your support and viewership is good enough. I do recommend playing some day, as that will help you in your creation process and also many other fields. Until then, just watching us, we appreciate and welcome you.

I get that it's to stay out of the way of the CvS2 power bars, but that's a really bad position and size for the default powerbars. Since you're using Ikemen you could use a larger power bar and edit the CvS2 chars to hide it.

Also sorry to go off on a tangent here, but how big is online Mugen/Ikemen? Back then I always thought that would've been the biggest game changer ever.

Truly appreciate the feedback. I'm not a super good coder, but I would love to see that idea come into fruition. If possible, I'd love to have the bars on the bottom or somewhere else too, but I haven't found a solution that I could possibly do yet. I love your idea though. I wonder if it's even possible. Actually on stream, we had the name bar blocking the meters, so that's why it was even MORE hard to see. Without the namebar it would have been way more visible.

The online (fighting) community for MUGEN / IKEMEN GO is still relatively small. Only a few full game projects like TMNT x JL , SVC EX, and basically, my community are doing a lot of the fighting. There's also Capcom Universe (great game), but they haven't kicked it off with much tournament or IKEMEN GO online activity yet.

You should have seen 2019 to 2020, it was a ghost town. In our community we simply focus on the fighting aspects and try to let that grow. Back in the early 2000s, we all DREAMED of being able to play MUGEN online, I remember just thinking how awesome it would be. In those days, we had no choice but to fight AI patches for a challenge. However, something happened when MUGEN was playable online. People stopped wanting to play online, and so it became this "technology was there, but the people weren't" type of deal.

Yeah I'm aware that there's no RC in that system. Although, worth mentioning in case Death scythe is interested in accommodating something possibly similar. Either way, a POTS or CvS2 Sakura should be busted!

As a competitive CvS2 player, I must stress the importance of how top tier this girl is in CvS2. Mainly her roll cancel hadouken, roll cancel tatsu, and last but not least.... SHOSHOSHOSHOSHOSHOSHO

Idk the values, but the SHOSHOSHO custom combo does a shitload of damage and even chip guard.

Just wanted to drop in and say that the hitboxes for Reiji look very good. The formatting of the CLSNs look very much how Jesuszilla, Jmorphman, and KarmaChameleon would format it. Good stuff. I dont know when you started this updated format but kudos.

What a great surprise! Made in classic CvS2 system. This is a def must add for any serious CvS2 conversion enthusiast.

Worth mentioning, but are you interested to add the transparency effect to the groove select? They do look like H''s system now that you mention it. Up to you actually, I just wanted to share that.

Gladly this is cool. However, I'm no fan of groove, I'm just a fan of POTS-style that it combines every grooves in one character with it's style. I'm using Infinite's Shingo which it newly edited by K6666Orochi & VirtuaRichie (KenMasters2812).

You're no fan of the grooves? Yea that's because you never played CvS2 before, obviously. That's like going into a POTS char release thread and demanding they be given 6 grooves. It's a moot point, and you just made yourself look incredibly silly. But that's besides the point, you probably dont even play fighting games to begin with.

I'm not sure if many of his chars have been updated. If you look at the upload dates, it is 2021, but checking the actual archive files many of them are still old from the 2011 era (Right before he left). All I know is that the updates that I made with CvS2 hitboxes and other stuff are not in there, so if you were using my updated patch and you replace them with these, you may possibly go back to older hitboxes, older afterimages, no variable height, or play anim thru hitpause. And a few other things that I updated as well.

Although his Fei Long, Gen, and Nash were never seen before, so these will be nice additions. From 2013 and 2014.

Ah no worries. In any case, I personally know how to do the manual disabling of the backroll anyway. I've turned it off for a few of them personally. Although, it's worth mentioning to the general public about this issue (just as a food for thought).

On a side note, going extremely off topic but, did you have your own forums a long time ago? I remember being registered on there, making posts. Although it was more small scale, like KFM's randomselect forum.

Oh yeah, while all eyes are own your normal char updates, I'm curious if you plan on doing some more fun/silly things too. Rare Akuma for instance. I remember "PotS by Ken" was an old time joke on here, lol. Or, the happy genki faced Akuma pic you had as an avatar for a good while. Good ole PotS memes haha. At least I thought it was funny. I'm curious if you have something up your sleeve in the future :D

why? there's no move needed for you press A and X while performing charge attacks

Not sure where you're going with this, but you do know that a roll --> BFBF super is a legit strategy right? Think Roll Fwd --> Blanka Ball Super.... or Roll Fwd --> Super Psycho Crusher. These are legit techniques to gain distance and override someone's poke or even projectile (if it's a lvl 3)

In any case, having a back roll severely interferes with the simplicity of the process. I've yet to be able to easily do it, more often I have unintentionally did a back roll instead of doing a roll fwd --> lvl 3 BFBF super.

Hey PotS, question.

I definitely think that for charge characters, having the dodge AND the back roll mechanic truly interferes with a characters charge. For example, crouch charging and then rolling forward to do a psycho crusher is often interfered by the back roll. Or doing a roll fwd --> into flash kick needs extra steps.

Would you take into consideration that for some chars we can just turn off the back roll or the dodge mechanic for some charge chars?
