i think part of the reason fire emblem gets a bad rep in smash is that you've got marth and then ike and they're not clones but still have some similarities at a glance (blue haired guys with a sword, a neutral b sword attack that can be charged and a down b counter) so i'd cut one of them to make room for a character with even more differences in moveset and appearance (robin, byleth, even corrin). fire emblem's probably my favorite game series of all time but sacrifices would have to be made

fire emblem heroes is one of the reasons i believe the other characters are just more popular. in the first "choose your legends" poll from 2017 he got 8th place overall (counting male and female characters, and combining votes for both marths). he never "won" the poll until this year, where he got a distant second place to a three houses meme character. he's prioritized for cross promotional stuff (like the dragalia lost crossover) but as far as i'm concerned he's a jobber. i picked lucina over him because i'm biased but it really should be ike (popularity) and byleth (cool moveset gimmick, three houses was popular) or robin (uses magic, popular game).

we have Mii costumes from characters whose franchises have no official fighter added, like having a Sans costume without any playable character from Undertale
that's exactly why the leaked mii costumes are suspicious. when the sans costume was revealed nobody thought there would be a playable undertale character because sans is the game's most popular character and the mii fighter is as far as that game's representation in smash will go. same with the xenoblade 2 character, chibi robo, goemon, etc. the reason people believe geno or doom guy will be playable is because both games would be better represented in mii costumes by geno and doomguy instead of mallow and a cacodemon.
like i already said, it's possible there are also geno and doomguy mii outfits but the leaker just didn't show them, or the whole thing is just a mod. but the previous mii fighters argument makes little sense considering these are secondary characters getting outfits

until someone makes a convincing mii outfit mod, or until the fifth fighter is revealed and has nothing to do with mario rpg or bethesda, it's valid

outfits from franchises or games not represented in smash are their main or most popular character. chibi robo has a chibi robo outfit, undertale has sans, goemon has goemon, golden sun has isaac, panel de pon has lip, murasame castle has takamaru.
what the leak is alluding to is that doom would be better represented by a doomslayer helmet, or that mario rpg would be better represented by geno, but they're not mii outfits because they're playable characters instead.
of course there's the possibility that the leaker just didn't show the geno and doomslayer mii outfits, or that someone figured out how to mod mii outfits in ultimate and decided to do these fakes to fuck with people.

they're not leading anything. the pages are sorted by the units that people "tapped" the most on, so popular launch units and free units show up first (which is why virion and raigh are so high up) while more recent units like micaiah and rd ike are near the bottom. it's unintuitive as hell
