One more thing I like!
This Batsu looks way more "close" to How Batsu should look IMO.

What I wish is the "base" POTS Batsu sprites that exist, to be tweaked into this style

He still have some very Kyosuke-ish animations and sprites.

I did such an edit in the past (without the sleeves)
I'm not even sure I can access it now.

also, I love to play in "simul" mode in mugen with both characters, particularly for their winposes together ! :)

Looks good.
I'm not sure about the quality of the compilation or if code editing is present or not.

Vega/Bison have a gret palette to kind of match with SF3 characters.

This Zangief scalling seems a bit off, perhaps I'm wrong. He also need a different palette I think.

Same for this Gouken who looks absolutely too wise and giant. (hard to say with single frame)

Not tested yet, but I have 2 whishes :

-When a creator continue her, I wish he/she will follow what you had in mind to complete this Sakura.
-I wish some day you come back on the scene, when you feel better.

I can't wait to try this alpha!!

I'm not the best to give actual feedback (on advanced stuff)
But I really like how you handled her "Midare Zakura" (MAX version) and also her "Sakura Otoshi" follow ups as we talked about it in the past ;)

Also, I really like your idea of a third mode with More serious style... I'm pretty sure there is an animation for Sakura using Tome nage, and it would not be hard to edit her MK into Sokutogeri...

Seriously, this version deserve to be completed by some good creator.

So, I saw people were asking about me on discord.

In the middle of working on Sakura I noticed how well experienced other authors are and how little I know about FG compared to them, which made me have one of those existential crisis and I lost interest on continuing her. Your Sakura was one of the more exciting Mugen project I had in mind.

I was even willing to create a SFF patch for your Sakura.

But I understand IRL is a priority, and health particularly.

Actually, I'm mostly in the same situation as you.


Hope you will not give up forever with such an advanced project.
And yes, if you lost motivation, perhaps you can release this Alpha so some creators with more free time can complete it?

Maybe. They'll use Kim's old assets again from 14 and Shingo shares a lot of moves with Kyo so they'll have more resources to spare for new characters like "Jhun".
I wish Shingo comes back with Oswald, Shen Woo or Duo Lon while Kim brings back Jhun and May Lee (NOT Gang-il, Chang and Choi). But who knows.

I'm not missing Chang and Choi either ^^; J. Hoon and May Lee would be a good choice!

Kimberly is interesting. Good to see she's not completely the archetype of the downtown-street girl doing breakdance and wearing streetwear/sportswear. Good progress !

The fact she's using Guy's fighting style is an interesting thing, but it almost completely destroy any chance to see Maki coming back in SF6 just like Lucia or Abigail did in SF5...
I hate this decision for this reason...

But with the SF6 paint effect, and this girl using it in her moves, you can clearly see how Capcom reacted to give some kind of "modernity" to their choices. KOF's Isla painting stuffs already looked like a tentative from snk to give some "Splatoonesque" "modern" colorful feeling to their game. like, "come on, kids, KOF is fun, right? right?" , but this tentative from Capcom kind of makes me tired of this. (only my point of view, with average english)

About Juri. I used to like her a lot in SF4, so so in SF5, Now I didn't even "blinked" during her trailer. nothing really impressed me or makes me want to go back to her. Even her asymetric bangs looked a bit exagerated here... Her gameplay is certainly good.
Also, I'm pretty sure some guys will enjoy the focus on her feets in 4K -_-;

But again for Evo, they have to surprise the audience I think. They cannot "just" come up with "Vanilla characters" like Ken or Cammy...

I like the idea People who don't really know GG and only followed the "Smell of the game" trends will react like :"Oh, SHE's so cute, this brand new character is my main now!" LOL

Anyway, glad to see him back, but it was definitely not what I was wainting for... the most.
I'm still missing my Jam Kuradoberi... Johnny...

But I suppose In 2022 you have to make your communication with more "unusual" fighting game archetypes... (when Johnny and Jam are old gamers archetypes)

Also, Bridget was kind of fresh when he appeared in the past, but now, I have this feeling it's a male May with pallet swap and different moves.
(Because of May new design)
One more cute character archetype of this kind would not be a priority for me... (beside the fact he's a guy)

Anyway, I'll wait for Jam... to put my interest back to this game.

Reason 1, they only teased rough drafts of Shingo/Kim, meaning they haven't even finalized their 3d models yet.
