I'm fairly certain Graves is a lost cause, as far as sanity goes. Or, even at best, we're certainly in no position to offer him help. Any time he's given a chance he writes something stupid, like how he'd like a vote to elect him as head admin of the Guild or how he's going balls-deep into a magical rainforest in the Amazonian Basin, etc. Graves doesn't listen to people unless it fuels his megalomania. He's beyond 'saving', and the only hope for him is he either learns how stupid he is, or gets bored and leaves. Until then, ridicule is the only weapon against unintelligible propositions.

Oh, come on, Graves. "That the person who posited the existence of the forest, and this paper, is a fucking lunatic, which he's thus far been so eager to prove." I suppose that's partially my fault for not also pointing out how you also posit the existence of this explorer (now *four* explorers) but it couldn't be more obvious I was talking about you. Most people learn to read before they learn to write. How unfortunate that you never followed suit. As for "extrapolating all this from just an abstract," I suppose it's worth pointing out that an abstract is all you've provided as positive evidence of your claim. But, by all means, continue to shift the goalposts. Unless you have some extraordinary evidence to add to this?
As for extraordinary claims requiring extraordinary evidence ... the extraordinary evidence regarding proof of the NEGUM rainforest and the inhabitants therein is presented humbly and personally by me in this video:
I suppose AlexSin called it. Which doesn't make Alex out to be a clairvoyant, but does demonstrate how predictable you are. What a great addition to the shit thread.

This entire quote nest is an exercise in self-deceptive autofellatio on Graves' part, but simply saying that isn't very substantive nor conducive to a conversation. So, on a slightly lighter note, for the sake of posterity, I'd like to touch on something. Maybe something worthwhile, and worth learning about and passing on. Regarding this quote here:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

There's a lot to pare down here. Luckily, there is a tool for doing such paring. For those who haven't heard of it, it's called Occam's Razor. "Entities should not be multiplied without necessity." If there are two (or in this case five) competing hypotheses all leading to a conclusion it's generally most reasonable to accept the one that makes the least assumptions to reach said conclusion. To take it point by point:

Hypothesis 1: Assumes that this NEGUM rainforest is real, that someone visited and documented it, that said person was apparently a clairvoyant using language and scientific jargon at least three centuries prior to their popularizatuon, and that the forest's root name was slightly lost in translation, despite seemingly nothing else including the modern scientific jargon falling victim to this same translation. Also that this paper passed peer review, got published for everyone to see, was downloaded by Graves in 2008, and then mysteriously disappeard because its DOI page is now nonexistent.

Hypothesis 2: Assumes everything the first hypothesis did, except that in lieu of a translation error it's this same clairvoyant explorer was simply being considerate to posterity by...obfuscating the language.

Hypothesis 3: Assumes everything from hypothesis 2, except that instead of being considerate, the author of the paper, who is a preestablished clairvoyant, flubbed a word, intentionally or otherwise.

Hypothesis 4: Assumes everything from hypothesis 1, except that instead of the word being simply difficult to translate, that the translator themself screwed up, and that this mistake slipped through peer review for centuries without question.

Hypothesis 5: Assumes only that the person positing this forest's existence, this paper's existence, and these hypotheses is a lunatic. Which he's been ever so willing to demonstrate.

Seems like Hypothesis 5 would be the most tenable position to accept, given the circumstances.

With all that said, as a parting gift for those who sat through my spiel: If Occam's Razor is too tedious a task to apply, there is another tool, just as useful. It's called Hitchens' Razor. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and that which is asserted without evidence can so be dismissed without evidence." Thanks for reading.

New favorite lifebars. The combo counter is huge! This is a great update to some already solid lifebars, very nicely done.

I hate to do this right after complimenting the stage, but it seems the release given might be out of date. Only one .def file, no remix, and the stage is lacking a lot of the foreground elements shown in the video.

I'm, without hesitation, using this stage. It looks great, Flowrellik. Thanks for making this.

Also,
This reminds me of this old ass retro sidescrolling game about some greek guy who transforms into different monsters as you go through the story. Don't remember the name

But this is literally my new favorite stage you did a great job man. So beautiful to look at.

I believe the game you're referring to is Altered Beast. Pretty good game, silly as it was.

You mean like a Bonus Stage car?

No, he means Brergsart's character "Dodge Viper", a character with a single hurtbox that you have to avoid. In fact, Graves had to put Rare Akuma against two of them just to make sure RA didn't "give up" and auto-win because the Dodge Viper's entire gimmick is 'don't get hit'

Ive used alot of forums, and I basically control the fiesta online forums and am the op'est player in fiesta online, and there I never not multipost. But since, I am in your lands, I will follow your laws ... for now.

Also, I am wondering if this is considered multipost and if this rule applies to staff or only the "subjects" of this page

Ah yes. Two posts, a month apart from one another, from what I can tell, in a different thread about moderation warnings for different people, for different reasons. Truly, this is perfectly comparable to your inability to multiquote in a single post.

Don't use autism as an excuse. That only works to your detriment, in my opinion, especially since you only talked about it after the fact. It just comes off the same as someone trying to excuse their bad behavior because of a disability. As for your ban, I dunno how long it is. I'm not an admin.
I don't think you should try to say what autistic people should or shouldn't do about their own condition, i'm in the autistic spectrum and even if i'm high functional i still understand how hard it is to cope with that disability in more "severe" cases or even in my own case. I made a lot of mistakes in my life and only time teached me how to correct my ways, but, ostracizing the guy, almost isolating him in a certain way, will not help, it'll just make him feel more and more helpless.

(By the way, i totally understand the possibility of him not actually being in the autistic spectrum, but even so... i mean, even if he isn't an autistic person at all, i still think he deserves a fairer shot than that.)

I'm a little late on this, I hope you'll forgive that. Firstly, I would never have said not to use his condition as an excuse for bad behavior if he hadn't brought it up after the fact in the first place. I was not intending to tell him what to do about his condition, just responding to him seemingly using it as a shield from criticism or consequences. But, more importantly, the second half of this: it wasn't his condition that forced him to spoil the movie for a bunch of people. It wasn't his condition that typed it out and sent it. Neither I, nor the admins, nor anyone else, are ostracizing a person because of their condition. The admins banned him because of his actions. I called him out because of his actions. And regardless of the extent to which one's autism aids or hinders one in their actions, the autism isn't solely to blame, if it's to blame at all.

You know, the title's a little misleading, given the lack of an apology present. But honestly, the pity party is a bit unnecessary, don't you think? You screwed up, you got called out. Move on. Be better. An apology is a poor substitute for an improvement.
