If a character goes into an invalid state, it loops the current anim.

By default, the HitDef pulls sounds from the common sound file. To use one of the character's own sounds, precede the sound value with S, like S3,0.

Judging by the edit notice underneath that post, I'm guessing you multi-posted right after saying you'd keep not doing that in mind, hence Speed's message.

That said, I was under the impression such was fine if it's your own thread, as long as it doesn't become a blog or whatever.

Character selection is handled engine side; all a screenpack does is determine the appearance of the UI, really. If you can see a populated roster, but none of the directions do anything, make sure the cursor.startcell values are valid.

This: Touhou RP Ikemen(with a mugen packed)

This is what later became Gensokyo Reloaded. Without him, it would not exist, and I would've likely never done anything with the old S-SIZE IKEMEN engine it runs on. The server he created for the game has allowed me to meet and converse with so many great people, to which I am eternally grateful. It feels so weird that I'll never be able to fight his Utsuho, Komachi, Yuyuko, Sanae, or Suika ever again; one of the last things I ever said to him was that he'd gotten rusty, hah.

Likely because the position and velocity adjustments during the attack put him on or below the ground, triggering the ChangeState to jump land.

Does any part of the move occur, or do they just hover in midair upon activation? If so, that would imply the VelSet sctrls are told to trigger on animelems that don't exist, so they never do.

Side note: the reason the ChangeState triggers were written as such is to failsafe in the event the character's current pos + vel y would put them below pos 0.

The character is returning to state 0 after the animation is over. They need to change to a landing state when they reach the ground.

Code: 
[State 1900, 11]
type = ChangeState
trigger1 = vel y > 0 ;Falling
trigger1 = pos y >= -(vel y) ;Hit the ground
value = ;Your landing state

You may not want to use the default landing state (52) as you can usually cancel out of it early.

Usually there's more to it than that, like specifying it couldn't find a file within the def or there was a code error inside one of the files referenced.

Yes, IKEMEN has a known issue where the input buffer locks up if too many commands are done in quick succession, sometimes. It's existed since the first version of IKEMEN and carried over all the way to GO, but nobody knows why it happens.

It makes cancelling QCF into QCFx2 basically impossible unless you:
A) Input it so the first QCF counts towards the QCFx2.
B) Delay the QCFx2, which may be suboptimal if the combo timing is tight.

The same is true for QCB -> QCBx2.

Of course you won't notice this issue if the character uses a buffering system like Explodsive or Deep Buffer, so it's down to the commands themselves rather than individual inputs.

MUGEN uses hitpausetime for the attacker and hitshaketime for the opponent, therefore you'd want to check for gethitvar(hitshaketime) instead.

If you're wanting to check the attacker's pausetime, then use hitpausetime as DeathScythe mentioned.

Sorry to hear that. If you post anything remotely negative about MA (that includes questioning a ban), you'll be booted off the subreddit; if anyone had responded to your message with alternative places to get MUGEN content, they would've been banned too.
