Re: The Nintendo News Thread

I feel like Nintendo has really outdone themselves, and I know I'll be getting a Switch on day one at least. I feel like they did marketing a lot better this time by appealing to a more adult audience, even with the younger generation becoming more enamored with tablets and growing technology. Seems like a strong point they've hit. I'm overly hyped for this, and my hopes and dreams are still holding that Square Enix being listed as a supporter means I might get a console Kingdom Hearts game for the Switch.
Still holding out on the battery life of the system, as we've not got any official source on estimated battery life, but that wordpress article Titiln linked said not to be too excited about it. Maybe some form of portable battery charging?

Really well made release trailer. Can't wait for the actual release. It's odd how excited I am for this character, despite never having seen Superjail, and not even being a big fan of fighting games lol Good stuff

Minor thing, but Cyan Goku? A rename of SSJ Goku or have I missed something?
In either case, SBC is looking beautiful, can't wait to see it in full motion

Actually just did a fresh mugen install and that was one of the first stages I picked up, thanks for making it so easily available :)

Since it's losing by time out, having him completely power down seems a bit much, even though it makes it simple.
An idea for the animation, however, is to make his face flash 00:00 a few times before he shuts down

Glad to hear you'll be keeping up with Jailbot after release. And I really hope we get a home stage for him, excited to hear more about that

I love the frozen and shocked images you've got for Jailbot, and I'm incredibly excited for the release. A bit sad, however, as it falls the day after a LAN party at my university :( But nonetheless, I am excited to add such a high-quality character to my roster

I haven't sped it up to see it in realtime, but the chainsaw afterimages don't seem to really portray any speed. As it is, I imagine it looks amazing, but slowed down like this, I can't help but feel like the chainsaws look odd

I've never understood the concept of a closed beta, so I'm all for a public beta release to test his mechanics and basics and such, especially since I've been looking forward to this character

Looking great as always, I only have to question the way his hair is moving as compared to the rest of his outfit. It seems to bend against the wind, resting as far back as it can and then bending forward

Because of the MyNintendo sale, I got my hands on Wind Waker HD and Paper Mario. Already played through Paper Mario several times, but it was worth the money, and I had planned on buying WWHD for full price anyways, so getting it at 55% off was a helly nice event. Gotta say, I don't remember Wind Waker being so beautiful

Sora made 70, so at least a voice was made for him. It's sad to see that Ice Climbers got that many votes, they literally can not be in the game. Squirtle, Ivysaur, Sceptile, etc etc. I love Pokémon, but we've got enough. I wouldn't mind Wolf or Inkling making it in. Wolf seems hype and Splatoon looks like a fun game, so Nintendo can further pat themselves on the back

I absolutely love the eyes on the dizzy anim, very fitting, even if a robot has no reason to have (rolling) eyes at all

Fairly certain coding starts before the character is 100% sprited. Either way, with the previous characters to speak for Piccolo, expect like Piccolo Z2 sprite version 6 before release :P

Ninja'd by Cybaster but leaving the post because I want to feel relevant D:<

Maybe not a noob, but you seem to have an issue with arguing with factual information presented to you directly from game data extraction. Bowser, to me, feels not much different than release day. A few changes here and there, but nothing that's absolutely game-changing like you're claiming a side smash nerf to have been. In fact, whenever my friends and I play, Bowser still ends up wrecking shop more often than not, simply because drop kick equals hilarity when like six people are all trying to kill the all things

As a side note, yesterday was the last day North American residents could use their Dragonite codes from GameStop.
And I got my Rayquaza on both OR and AS, still waiting to get proper natures

As a non-fighting game player, this doesn't mean much to me instantly. But being able to have great creators like yourself be able to pull data directly from source games is great news for the mugen player that I am. Thank you for your contribution, and I wish you luck with further expeditions into whatever black magic you're doing

Yep, all of those megas were introduced in XY. I've not been keeping up on them, so I don't know if they ever included anything about ORAS Megas into the Mega Evolution specials, but meh. In any case, hype about potential Mega Zygarde as the first Gen VI Mega and a reason to use the thing

No worries there, my BSD is in tip-top shape.
Also, I'm not entirely certain what languages are going to be covered. I can imagine Java, seeing as how it's everywhere, but meh. But that's actually one thing that got me into Mugen, was the creation aspect of it. I can code fairly decently, so being able to develop characters and such appealed to me and has kept me decently practiced while I've been out of school.
And as for habits, I've developed myself a morning schedule I hope to implement in about seven hours, so that's some form of progress, I think?
