As Mugen authors and creators. We take a lot of our off time making yours and our dream Mugen characters. We also deal with life probably working,school and other important life events. I feel myself and probably many authors hit plateaus every once in a while. Taking needed breaks from Mugen. I know sometimes we ask this question since it consumes so much of our time from other things. "What I am contributing?"  and "Is my time well spent?"

Anyone is welcome to give your thoughts on this. I mainly wrote this for other authors to give them more support and to keep them on creating more great Mugen works.


I can start first on my opinion:
I think Mugen is great past time for anyone who has dream character they like and relate to. Every person is different some are big Ryu fans, others are Akuma, or Subzero fans. Pitting your favorite Mugen character against a whole wide range of other characters when crossovers on mainstream games will never be possible like Mortal Kombat Vs Street Fighter. But in Mugen everything is possible! Your can make it a reality! Mugen is your dream coming true. It is also great past-time that keeps you busy from other distractions in the world that you want to filter out.

I am liking that others are bringing MVC2 characters like this and using Darkwolf13 template with Tag! Characters like this can be a in a shared universe with the addition of tag gameplay. Great job Red Chariot!

Great version of the Lin Kuei warrior bro!

I saw that Ice Blast sometimes doesn't do a follow-up. Is it intentional?
Thanks gui0007! Ice blast is meant to be used once in combo chain. It travels faster when opponent is in get hit state. There may be triggers that keep it from working but will look into it . I plan on updating Subzero in the near future and maybe adding a new hyper and probably more fatalities.

Awesome JJ! Glad to see your still pushing things out!

1 thing I noticed was that his stance is misaligned but I think I have the fix for you. On Group 2 Index 0 Try X axis : 45 & Y axis : 107 and see how you like it. Seemed to fix the issue for me

Outstanding job with him man, he's fricken awesome! He plays extremely good, and I love everything that you've done with him. He needs a little more to him to be on par with your Scorpion, but so far he is really fun and coming along really good. If I wrote all the positives, everything below would be 2-4 times bigger in size. But as for feedback/suggestions, reference spoiler.

Thank you for your feedback!  I do intend to add more to Subzero but I wanted to release Version 1.0 to the public. As far as the walking animations I can check to see if animation is smoother but I am not a spriter. I do like them as they are. I will  take a look the other things mention to see what can be improved and polished in the next update.

Oh yeah, I definitely downloaded her again after hearing that, and thanks for another update as well. I still have to test her out though, but will give feedback when I do, which will be later today.

I just gave a good 1-2 hour run with Scorpion though, and he's amazing. Like I said in the Sub-Zero thread, the positives FAR outweigh the negatives, if you can even call them that. With that said, here's all I got for Scorpion...

I am glad you liked! Thank you for your feedback. I made a typo in the read me. By the way. The hyper you executed is called The Netherrealm and it executes as intended with the screen going black and then the Netherrealm. Scorpion is orange cause he takes less damage while in the Netherrealm only. Command for that is D, DB, B, + two kicks. The other hyper you mention that you wanted to execute is called the Netherhole and it is D, DB, B, + two punches. I will definately take your input into consideration and see if anything can be improved in the next update.

I am very excited to finally release Grandmaster Subzero MVC2. Special note make sure to get Scorpion Version 1.6  and Morrigan Ver 1.5 for special intro conversations between characters. Subzero playstyle resembles more towards Injustice 2  but has special moves from most Mortal Kombat games. Subzero lacking a bit on zoning has a special move called Klone Charge for added zoning pressure. Ice Clones stop rushers cold in their tracks and protects you from projectiles. Subzero can dish out punishment quick with his many combo strings. Subzero even has Ai while not the hardest. He will combo you and try to keep distance just don't get caught in an air combo you could take 40% life if he uses Air Death Icicle. They are unique fatalities and brutalities for Subzero that are very kool!!!  :yaoming:

I just downloaded the update and haven't tested it yet, but this character is amazing and every time you update him he only gets better and better. I'm sure this is going to be yet another great update from reading the changelog. Thank you very much for this character, and continuing to improve him. I'm definitely looking forward to Grandmaster Sub-Zero as well. Super pumped.

You can use a posset to bring back player down in second statedef 1402. Y = 0 brings them backdown to the ground

@Trackiest head One of easiest way to do this is to put the Ai Command code in the Statedef of the move prior. For Example in Statedef 200  will paste Ai command code 203 as Change State for Ai only.  The random trigger will take care whether Ai will do the command more or less.

People ask for a Subzero. Like collecting action figures.You can't have one without the other. You can't have Ryu without Ken.Scorpion without Subzero. Morrigan without Lilith. Anyways Subzero is given a new stance and walk animations. Looks like a brand new character already.  I plan to release a basic version of Subzero (with hypers,specials,basic Ai and a few intros) since I just used Scorpion as base it was quite easy since all hard work like basic animations is done. I plan to update further with more details later on since the small details take longer to polish.
