I don't know where the inspiration for this aesthetic comes from, but I find a MOBILE vibe to this modern style.
And I think the CVS sprites would look better for this SP's roster.

Good deal. I fiound out that it was consistently doing a just defend even when you're already blocking.
So I just adjusted the numbers from:

Original
(map(JustDefend) = [1, 6])

Adjusted numbers
(map(JustDefend) = [1, 3])

With that small change, IMO, it works more like a "Just Defend". Just wanted to comment this for anyone with the same issues

Cool mock up! It's hard to see but the Shadaloo symbol is back there.

New Asuka game also had that promise too, iirc it was supposed to be heading to Switch.

My cope regarding Daraku Tenshi is that given Zerodiv is seemingly still involved it still has a shot of showing up on home platforms given they've done exactly that with other releases but who knows. ExArcadia managed to get a licenced Touhou game of all things arcade exclusive after all.

One last announcement from exA-Arcadia.

Daraku Tenshi Revenge (previously known as Complete Edition) is still happening. Notably, this is known to be eventually getting ported to consoles, but they said that when the game was initially announced in 2019 so who knows if that's still happening.

I guess they don't see it as a loss because of how niche the IPs they're working with are. 

Honestly, the romhack bit is a good point.  If someone REALLY wanted to they could very likely just hack the roms for these games to reflect balance changes, provided there's no new visual assets (ie new sprites) which is highly doubtful to begin with.  I'm sure that would not end well given Japanese companies' history with this sort of thing (ie French Bread vs UNIST modders) but it does kind of expose the problem with the entire thing.
