Are there any modern tools for automated sprite cutting or animation batching?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to modernize my character creation workflow. As much as I enjoy the development process, the manual labor of cutting massive sprite sheets, grouping them, and aligning every frame is becoming a significant bottleneck.

I was wondering if the community knows of any current tools, scripts, or external utilities that can help speed this up? Specifically, I'm looking for:

  • Automated Sprite Cutting: Anything that can detect bounding boxes on a sheet and export them as individual sprites or ingest them directly into an .sff.

Batch Alignment: Tools that can handle auto-centering or relative alignment based on a consistent floor-point or axis.

Animation Helpers: Any utilities that help batch-process animations or "guess" the timing for basic sequences like walking or stance cycles to save time in Fighter Factory.

I'm already familiar with the basic features in Fighter Factory Studio, but I'm curious if there are any "hidden gem" plugins, Python scripts, or even AI-assisted tools that people are using in 2026 to get through the "grunt work" faster.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There's no magic tools like those ones yet, only the one XG said for automatically cutting the sprites from a sheet, all the rest you've to do it yourself manually. I hope there're those tools in a future but by now only you've to make it handmade like old school methods
