Akkin has released his second DOA character after Kasumi : AYANE.The spriting, while not being magnificent, is decent. The moveset is okay, since it has many of Ayane's moves, and Akkin didn't add any stupid hadouken or other type of attacks which wouldn't make much sense for her considering her source.Combos are sort of faithful to DOA, although performing a counter can lead to "easy to perform combos" which deal too much damage IMO. See the image : counter -> juggling (no superbar used )Obviously, the animation cannot be as fluent as that of DOA, especially during the fast spinning moves, and even though some of the animations could benefit from more frames, Akkin did a decent job.All in all, this character is a good attempt at transposing DOA gameplay to a 2D gameplay. Combos could really gain dampening, some CLSNs are too big, and the gameplay isn't as fluent as we could expect, but overall, that's the kind of thing I'm waiting from a completely custom character. Cybaster: I too wish such authors would come here for feedback, so much potential being wasted everyday.
I recently bought DOA 3 so now Im hyped to play this character. I get what you mean by pervertedness as how every attack she performs shows her panties. But thats how it is in DOA 3 so I dont see whats so bad about it. Oh well, a least nothing bad is happening to her.
