Not sure, if I'm asking at the correct place.
Basically, I stumbled upon this:

And I would love to try it out.
That's why I would like to have a model rip of the playable characters of the 3DS game Bravely Default.
But not just a model rip. No, these models should already have all their textures and their rigging and their animations from the original game intact and be, of course, compatible with Blender. I already looked at The Models Resource, but they don't have that.
Please help me. Thanks in advance!

can't you try it out with existing models instead and only at that point (when you figure it out and put out some sprites) ask for bravely default model rips

A low poly 3DS model would probably still look incredibly angular run through this shader and missing a ton of things that were painted on the textures instead of geometry.

In theory, I could. However, the only Street Fighter 4 character I care about that hasn't been 2D sprited yet, would look better if I just use existing CvS sprites as a base.
Also, Tekken has so many characters that I cannot decide who to do. And by the time I decide for a character, said character will be already made.
So I'd rather want to go with something that only very VERY few people would possibly do.

uhhhhhh who cares? nobody said you're supposed to make a full spritesheet. you haven't shown if you can put out sprites using that program, let alone animate them. considering this, why would anyone bother to rip those models (let alone all the other shit you're requesting for the models)

dudes, it's trini, even fi you provide him the rigged model next thing you know he is gonna be asking you to rip the animations from the game and give them to him, he's been banned over that.

lol wtf has anybody ever been able to rip animation data from a 3d console game ? I think we have not even be able to rip bones yet.

It depends if someone puts the time into reversing the format. Many games have their mesh and rig structures reversed but for animations a lot of the time you're looking for commonly used formats like the Wii's CHR0 for Brawl, MK Wii, etc

the reason i'm telling you to post shit you've done with the program is because people are way more likely to help you if you show that you know what you're doing. why would anyone bother to do any of this for you if you don't know how to use the program at all and there are thousands of existing models for you to experiment with

to get people to avoid wasting their time/think twice before helping you because you are most likely not going to do FUCK with what you ask and you are pretty much asking them to do 70% of the characters already while you are not even willing to show that you might do the other 30% as implied by titiln's posts.

this is like a sprite artist's making a comission topic and someone else posting saying that the artistsd does not deliver the paid comissions anyway so people should be ware of that when they give the artist their money (iirc, ir was jango ).

How can you possibly know? I did released MUGEN characters before, so I'm not just empty words. Just so you know.
EDIT: Okay, I guess I had raged a bit too much now. Sorry, I really didn't wanted to sound like an ass. It's just that lately, I rarely get any help at all. :(

anyway, I think it's very difficult to get all that you want;

first, getting blender specific files is nto that easy, most of the files that exist (gamerip wise) are for xnalara, the automatic importer that exists kills the textures, though the bones are kept; xna lara poses can also be imported. as implied before it seems like getting the actual animatinos is very difficult to not possible, you will have better look searching in game ripping forums like xentax than asking here for that specific info.
