Well, I had this doubt in my mind about accuracy:
When the char you're creating is ripped / comes from a console game, how do you decide the way you will map MUGEN buttons?
Which MUGEN button should be assigned to be which button from the original game? Is there any standard about this or this is just arbitrary according to each char creator?

It's easy to assume that S will be start or select, but for the rest of the keys I had just used a configuration that matches the same buttons I use for the GBA, NDS, PSX and other emulators I use. but that's just the way I configured my MUGEN  to play.
In order to make a char... this becomes a bit confusing.

In short, to make the char I have used the same custom config I use to play the original char in the SNES emulator, now I wonder if it will be OK or it would feel awkward for other people when they try to play with my char. If it's not OK, then I may rework the char's commands.

Of course they can always remap my buttons editing the .cmd file, it's just  I was curious and had doubts about this. Thanks beforehand.

Dust Storm

When I create for MUGEN, I use x,y, and z for the punches and a,b, and c for the kicks. You don't necessarily have to use all of them, obviously.
Thanks for reading my signature.

Cyanide

In mugen XYZ should be on the top and ABC to the bottom

Unless you don't want or can't adhere to the game's setup (SNKS ABCD comes to mind) you should hold with punch on top kick on bottom. Cos it makes sense.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.
