Can no longer toggle AI in Watch Mode

So i used to be able to vs a CPU in Watch mode by using CTRL+1 to toggle Player Controls for P1.

Now i can't...every other command works like hiding the UI etc. But i can't take control of characters anymore.

I haven't made any adjustments to my CFG or any other System related file/settings in a very long time as it was the way i wanted it.

Idk why i can't do this anymore but its causing a HUGE problem.

Try using vs mode and ctrl+2.

It's possible that the character's custom AI could be taking over before you toggle it off.
If they're using the old AI activation method, the custom AI cannot be deactivated.

Try out the suggestion in the post before mine.
The AI for both players is turned off at the start, so you won't need to worry about toggling off the AI for P1 before it's too late.

I dont get that because the ive tried this on almost all my characters as i had thought it might of been that specfic char. But 2 points:

1: I had taken over control of said character before multiple times so that can't be it
2: I cannot toggle AI activation on ANY characters anymore. None. This is why its odd because ive been able to control ALL the characters in my roster before in Watch Mode/VS Mode.

Kinda sounds like your debug keys might be turned off.

Do your other debug keys work?
Do you have debug keys enabled in the mugen.cfg?

Its enabled i checked. I can use other debug keys like CTRL+L to turn off the HUD, i can turn on Debug Mode itself as well and other commands.

Dang, I'm starting to run out of ideas.

Could it be a hardware problem?
Are you able to use Ctrl + 1 or 2 in other programs? (Though I have no idea what other programs use those combinations.)

Does Ctrl + 1 or 2 work if you try it on a fresh, newly downloaded version of Mugen?
