Can you even perform normal attacks as these Cyberbots characters?

I looked in Fighter Factory and they have coded and animated normals, but in game, pressing a button just leads to what looks like a special attack (I have never played the game before). Can you even do these normals at all?

I think the format for cyberbots buttons is this:

Normal attack 1, normal attack 2, dash/fly
Weapon

As far as I remember when coding z-Gould.

Some cynerbots do acutely have special move commands like quarter circle forward, half circle forward motions. Like street fighter does. Just keep trying different things to see what cynerbots have what moves if there is no command list available.
