Good lord four topics for this dude.

The animation is pretty bad, it looks like you basically just jigsawed him and spread the pieces out randomly.

The gunshot is a little stiff but is otherwise passable. The stance looks really unnatural though.
You're going to have to actually draw new sprites for most of his animations.

You are right, I am being lazy about it.  I will start to draw new sprites.

This isn't helpful at all, and is pretty damn rude. If you want to give criticism, it has to be constructive.

new stance, I'm going to work on the leg movement later.

I also made him taller.

You may want to take Cable as a reference due to the similar stance

i think the stance sprite turns too much. the stance should be saying "i am ready to fight!" not "look at me swiiiing!"
"Improvise. adapt. overcome."

The legs are too static, like it was a mannequin, I suggest you to anim legs for a natural move. But in general you've evolved in your sprites, keep going with your work, it's good to see a DC character not necessarily edited from Capcom sprites ;)

I think a little "exaggeration" in the movements will help it look a bit dynamic. What I'm getting is maybe try having him have more body movement like Cable; swinging that gun a forward, have him turn his hips and legs and head towards the opponent, It will keep things from being too casual. :)  I hope that made sense heh

I'm sorry for the confusion but I posted earlier that I would work on the leg movement later.

I started working on the shooting animations so I wouldn't get bored.

With these types of projects. You have to get something down first, then you make adjustments. If you spend a long time on one thing its easier to get burned out.

I liked it, it looks like those old gore games chars.

Try to do blurs that use the same number of tones of the ones you have already (yours look like a photoshop brush). I think that these clash with the oldschool style you have.

Why is he shooting backwards? is he ignoring the opponent/ is he lost /shoots both sides?

Hes not shooting backwards.  Hes holding the gun in his right hand. Facing the right, and I haven't finished those animations. I just rotated them in photoshop. Some other people were confused about that too. I need to make him face the right some more.

I'm slowly correcting all of the problems. I think it will get where it needs to be... eventually.
