basically i want to change the jump command from being UP to a or b or whatever

i would assume i have to change or override the jump state somehow but i don't know where to start

Bastard Mami

nice start.

put a changestate to state 50 (?) in the cmd using a or b

in state 50(?) put a changestate back to prevstateno if the command is not a or b.

thanks it works but he still jumps with the UP button

pretty sure the changestate i put under the jump start state is wrong then

[State 0, ChangeState]
type = ChangeState
trigger1 = ifelse(command = "c")
value = prevstateno
ctrl = 1

your

ifelse(command = "c")

shouldn't even work (does it give an error message?)  o_O because you got the ifelse wrong.
I think what you want to have in state 50 is something like this:

[State 0, ChangeState]
type = ChangeState
trigger1 = command != "c"
value = prevstateno
ctrl = 1

when i put in trigger1 = command != "c" || command != "a"  he doesnt jump at all

Cyanide

He said "Like" that, not exactly that.

You're trying to remove Up as an option. The best way is override state 40 into something else, like a taunt or whatever. And make a copy of it that you can access via a/b/whatever in the cmd.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

ManofSteel II

i got it working now

thanks everyone
