Hi guys, I'm trying to draw/paint some portrait in Kinu Nishimura sensei's style, However I'm not being successful, I need some help, where I can find Kinu Nishimura sensei's artbook, sketches, model sheets, etc...?(All in the google images I already have it and his cvs portraits)
Also I'd like some help to mimic his style , could you guys give some advices how to make my drawing look more like his work?

your mai is really close to george clooney style, the others still need more work, you can try the booru pages (safebooru, danbooru) to get more references.

Have you checked out any of Kandoken's material?



He's deleted a lot of his older work, but there is plenty of places online that still has  a lot of his old CvS style art

Kandoken's stuff is great. He did an exceptional SF3 Ryu that I may convert. I love that Jin a lot as well. He also converted quite nicely...



A little shameless plugging never hurt anyone. :P But yeah, his art is great and I was actually surprised that he did both Ryu and Jin. My mind almost exploded when I found out about that. It also looks as if he used digital means to draw Jin here as evidenced by perfect looking circles in his darker shades/lines.

Drex and Saikoro, thanks, I like a lot kandoken style and art, he's amazing artist, I have some reference of him and I still hope one day he makes a video tutorial
the only thing I don't understand about him is why he keep deleting his stuffy like the painting of maki and ibuki for example.

maximilianjenus, thanks I can notice the diference, mai art is the only one that I can say is good, I'll try to redraw benimaru and seta to more Kinu Nishimura sensei's style

Dan is surprisingly close in terms of shading. The proportions and general style are a little off, sure, but the colors are nice. I've thought a lot about mimicking the same style, but I don't have anything definitive to help you out. Good to see I'm not the only one with an art crush on that particular set. I definitely suggest focusing on the basics of anatomy for now.

And Nishimura Kinu is a lady. :P

benimaru nikaido and soujirou seta I used a cosplay as reference, Dan I pretty much just mimic her(not him lol), the problem is I don't know the fundamentals of the anatomy, I have some model sheets/settei of Nishimura Kinu sensei, I'll try to study her style
I presumed that she is he because I saw her facebook and it had it a male pic, if I remember right kandoken took a screenshot of her comment in the his facebook(but now I'm not sure if was her or another artist)
