Where are people seeing GT characters? I'm only seeing DB and DBZ.

Some stances and attacks remind me of SuperSonic Warriors, perhaps they're re-working those sprites.
The screenshots in the About section are really cool! :)

In the official Website, when I go to characters and click Gohan, I can almost say that their sprites are upgrades from Super Sonic Warriors 2. I could say that Gotenks in the screenshot from the scan, also looks like an upgrade from the same Game.
A guess also is that most Characters in Super Sonic Warriors 2 could be playable including seperate versions of Kid and Adult Gohan like Vegeta and Majin Vegeta.

As far as the roster goes, If Nuova Shenron is a assist, there is indeed a big chance for us to get Omega Shenron. This could mean that we could get a SSJ 4 Character. I am guessing that this is SSJ 4 Gogetta instead of SSJ4 Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta. This Game looks Excellent.

Left: a screenshot of the game from the official website. Right, two sprites from Super Sonic Warriors 2.
Yes it's obvious they reusing/redrawing art from that game in some cases, what could this mean for the gameplay?
Looking at the characters/background composition it does look like a more traditional Street Fighter-esque fighter,
so perhaps no free flight like in SSW, but we don't know how much the game will zoom out when the characters move away from eachother.

Wait up.

Sonic warriors 2 already ran on 3ds. Right?

It also had a striker system set up in a similar manner.

AND ginyu had his whole team with him

I cant help but notice most of those screenshots either have poses or have the characters floating while attacking, which was what ss2 did.

( below is the closest thing i could find of the whole cast on ss, strikers included )

Maybe the game is like a update that merges both butoden and ss.

If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Keep in mind the company is official, so they aren't going to pay much attention to fan games.
you haven't been around long enough to know this statement is false.

Also, what Thammy ^ said

The game doesn't look at all like Balthazar's sprites. Also, the 2013 copyright found on the scans means it was definitely being worked on before Balth got to his current style. Stop acting like every vague resemblance means they must have taken "inspiration" from the fans, the fan scene isn't as big and important as you think it is. Chill.

Didn't Goku Z2 come out in like 2011/12? just asking

Did some merging with an off topic on the majin vegeta wip thread.

Yeah, the 3DS has a resolution of 800x240 (3D) / 400x240 (per eye), good luck with that not looking like shit on an HD TV screen. Even if you like pixel arts, it'll still be a pain on your eyes.
Never mind, I realize that's not different from the "original" resolution of 320x240 of olde... I didn't see the 3DS that way.

Game looks pretty and all, but will it play well?

Son Goku is said to be the game's standard all-around character. He possesses fairly good reach on his moves, as well as speed, making him easy to play as. On top of all that, Goku is also quite capable with aerial combos. His signature special moves are the Kaio-ken 20x Kamehameha, and the Genkidama.

Son Gohan (Teenage version) has a dash attack that works well as a 50/50 mix-up game. Hit the heavy attack button while dashing to perform a sliding attack that has a long reach, or hit a different attack button to go for an overhead instead of the slide. Apart from the dash attack, Gohan's signature moves include the Masenko and the Bokusei Kidan.

Meanwhile, Vegeta is said to be a speedy character possessing tricky maneuvers and attacks. These will give you the upperhand in combat as you overwhelm your opponent and create opportunities to ham it up with combos. His signature specials are Final Flash and Galick Gun.

Last but not least, Trunks (Future Super version) is a character who can pin his opponents down from mid-range distance with heavy attacks. In spite of those options, Trunks also possesses moves that let him charge at his opponents to close the distance when necessary, bringing the fight into close-quarters range. His special moves include the Buster Flash and the Buster Cannon.

From further detailed inspection: it looks like a cross between cvs sprites and balthazars. What's giving me that impression is the  dark shading. (Balthazar) and the Sprite sizes (cvs)

They're bigger than CVS sprites. I already checked that ^

C-18 and Ryu. Kyo and Gotenks. I can't see Goku and Vegeta feet, so I can't compare them.

But I did it with the first scan that Girard showed and I figured out they were bigger. If you want to resize them to CVS size, it should be at least at 65%. I checked that before too. Here those examples, I've done them quickly again:

Goku boots as reference. Original size.

"DBZ Sprites" resized at 65%.
