Hi all,
    I am a big Dragonball fan and I searched for a good dragonball based game on mugen platform. I downloaded Dragonball Z Mugen Edition 2010 by RistaR87 and i found it very amusing. But, IMHO, there are some really crappy characters, that do not fit well in the game.
    So maybe maybe you guys could share some links to sites with some good DBZ characters?
    Also, maybe you would like to share some opinion about the best DBZ characters/character creators? Or maybe full games?
    I really want to see if I can make a best DBZ character compilation available.
Looking forward to replies from you guys. Maybe it will come to an interesting discussion, even.

The best game is one you create yourself, there is a group who is releasing revamped DBZ characters here, give it a search for releases, you won't be disappointed.

I've been a fan of Mugen Dream's game if you're into more the Street Fighter style in your DBZ with full sized sprites. Search for Stig87.

There have been some Budokai releases to somewhere in here.


Also MondayNightWar is doing a pretty good and fast paced chibi game of DBZ, I recommend there to.

For more or less balanced characters:
For big characters: Choujin and Stig87 stuff.
For small characters: Pexteen, Neocide, some DGZ Teams stuff, some OS Team stuff despite some bugs here and there, Chrono_Strife's newer crap.

For over powered stuff:
Big: Super Mystery and Hyper characters.
Small: FRS Games, Bardocks Revenge, Mugen Mundo.

There are also 'Pocket sized' aka 'Chibi sized' characters which I know nothing about TBH. I wouldn't recommend anything Overpowered though, it may be appealing to fanboys for short bursts of time but gets old fairly quickly when people realize it isn't fun at all.

There are other creators and characters too which I haven't mentioned, but I can't think of them all on the spot. I'd say Roken's too, but that's all unreleased or packed into the DBZ2k5 Demo game.

Bardock's Bardock is the only one of his you should actually get. Maiyou's stuff isn't too bad either.
Also Kratos' Majin Vegeta, and Roken's stuff.

You have got to be kidding me. Those characters are crap due to their cheapness, bad coding and AI, annoying sounds, overpowered moves etc. Just look at his Majin Vegeta SSJ2 and Goku.

To tell the truth Overpowered DB characters are BORING. I don't see anything challenging when i use them to fight someone and no fun at all. Here's my list of good and balanced characters:
-Choujin
-DM(He made Vegeta with a little Capcom vs SNK gameplay. There's only a beta version)
-Miaoyu
-Stig87
-Big Eli King
-IronMugen
-Kamekaze
-Chrono_Strife
-Toskomics
-Kratos
-supermystery(Only newer)
-Wasaby
-Team OS
-Cyanide
-Neocide
-Alien SSJ
-Warusaki3(He made the epic Goku SSJ3. Very fun to play and he's not overpowered)
-Yvnaser
-Pexteen

Typically though when you're at level 3 a character must be over powered, or at least more challenging in A.I. with a slightly higher damage percentage (slightly).

DBZ is really hard to produce, it really is out there, I mean a low class level Saiyan or a Dragon Ball Piccolo (before DBZ) can destroy a planet or a moon it's really hard to match up with anything else. Hell Superman would get instantly vaporized in a second if he went up against a simple Kaio-kan attack.

Really it's impossible to measure against any other fighters and even crazier to think that any creations other than Supermystery comes close to accurate and balanced.

It's really a hard find, really it's all on your personal preference on DBZ characters at this point, balanced and fair is just out of reason in DBZ, they have their own category, anime won't even categorize it, it's just so much more and beyond. These guys scream in every attack and leave nuclear fallout at every inch, damn planets can't even sustain the damn fighters anymore.

So the question is what is good the definitive answer is "your choice", DBZ doesn't play by KFM's rules, street fighter, or anyone else's.

Why thank you.  But i also think his tao pai pai and his Goten were nice.
A shame he never released Cell, or the revamped goku and vegeta he was working on.

So nobody cited Majita and his great C16 and Vegeta ?
Also, Flowagirl/Necromancer for overpowered byt well coded Broly.
And theres was this old big sized Goku with Kaioken, Kienzan and all, which was never finished.
