I'm looking for an E. Honda, CvS style, that doesn't have that annoying timer cage thing at the beginning, that gal129's has, I don't like that.... The thing where there is this box around the char and a timer going down, and then you have to wait for it and you hear the air horn and the music begins afterwards... Yeah, I don't want that timer box thing.

Also, I don't want him to be overpowered, no god character, but I don't want him to be a total pushover either. Hard enough to be a worthy challenge, but not virtually unbeatable. Does anyone know of such an E. Honda?

you are referring to groove select. groove select is integral to how cvs2 works, but if you dont want it:

pots for custom
h' for cvs2, there exists downloads of it with the groove bar removed by MrSteve81
you can also search for a general groove bar removal patch, which depending on who made it will work for waru, h or both's characters.

cant speak on the ai, which isnt very important anyway (an ai patch does exist for pots honda, by yashi), but in terms of balance both are okay.

I tried to google "MrSteve81 E. Honda mugen" and nothing came up.... How do I reach MrSteve81 or access his Honda download?

let's not forget honda by pots

 http://network.mugenguild.com/pots/

i have this one and no other

I tried downloading Pots honda, and it gave me an error message and mugen stopped, and the message read:

  "Error Message: Invalid Trigger: AIlevel
   Error parsing trigger 1,1
   Error parsing [State 40, Direction]
   Error in [Statedef 40]
   Error in State/Systems.st
Character needs to be updated. See docs/incompt*.txt.
   Error loading chars/Honda/Honda.def
   Error loading p1

Library error message: Died parsing !AIlevel"

Perhaps there is something I can do to make him work?

This honda is very good too

Yeah, well I kinda don't want god characters in my mugen, infinite honda is a god honda.

I know how to solve this problem.
Stop using WinMugen and start using Mugen 1.0. :)

Alex, quit being so condescending. It's getting irritating.

There's also a Mediafire with Winmugen versions of PotS' characters right here.
Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?

that post was not the least bit condescending, it was just alex giving him the answer with a smiley face.

also, mrsteves patched chars are archived at mffa iirc.

Most winmugen characters work in 1.0 and even my weak netbook can run it outside of certain sps and stages. I heard 1.1 runs faster, but haven't tried it. AI scaling and AI in general is easier in 1.0.

Pots Honda is the best Honda around from the ones I played. The only other ones I can think of are Fido's(I think he made one?), Hh's, Gal/Rei?, etc. Infinite is heavily custom and I personally dont like the style, but that is probably an option too.

Yeah, the pots honda is working fine now..... Thanks..... One question though, I'm not very computer savy, which is why I don't do any coding, however I have gotten a whole ton of chars and stages (like, hundreds) and I'm kind of scared to upgrade to 1.0 off of winmugen because it may stop some of my previous chars and stages from working properly (theoretically). But if I know how I can guarantee that at least I can back up my current progress and save it somewhere then maybe even if something does go wrong I can reinstall winmugen back again?

Also I am looking to getting into spriting. I've got lots of time, I get paid on disability and I only work part time, I'm getting older in my years and choosing to remain single, keeping a small cadre of friends whom I can count on one hand (with fingers left over), I've got nothing but time on my side. So with that being stated, I *could* do all my sprites by hand and upload them the old fashioned way if need be, however, is there a faster, easier way of making sprites?

You can have a win and 1.0 mugen. I did for a while, but win crashed so often that it needed to be retired.

Yeah but won't that take up a ton of space on my computer though?....... I mean my brother also has a mugen on here. I might consider it though.
