Wow, top one looks sweet.  Animated?  Also is your avatar a character you're making?

Gonna try out the Green Hill Zone. (never was a fan of Adventure Time or the cartoons of today >.<) Judging from the pic, why is the bridge different from the background? It's out of place, but I'll give full feedback in the morning.

Sadly, no.  Some animation (maybe on the waterfall in the background) would really bring this to the next level.  Also, you should look into replacing the bridge - it clashes with the 3D look of the rest of the stage and there are some spots on it where the edge need better cleanup.  Background image is really nice, though.  Keep it up.

This is how you recognize a character is polished or not : when small details are taken care of to provide the best experience possible.

OK, this is my feedback (for the Green Hill Zone ONLY):
- The stage seems to be stretched. (I'm using 1.0, so maybe that's why) Also to point out that it's just two layers (bridge and background)
- Some color loss here and there
- The bridge, just doesn't fit there at all. Where's the original?

Overall, not that good. Apparently the pics look better than the stages lol. I get that these were quickly-made stages, but don't next time. Take your time.

Thanks for the feedback! And yeah I agree, the bridge doesn't fit but it has hard to find one that actually does. lol I use 1.0 as well but I try to be thoughtful of others who haven't upgraded yet. As far as color loss, the original picture that I used was quite faded. I actually improved the color believe it or not. I basically threw these together as a favor for two friends who are not so picky. However, I still have a bunch of things to learn, and no amount or reading tutorials is gonna help too much. I learn better by doing. Judging from my first couple of stages, I think I've come up a LOT...

For the Adventure Time tree house stage, its size is rather off.  For people standing not too far from it's entrance, it doesn't seem like anyone would be able to enter through the front door.  Perhaps if it was farther off in the background, and the fighters were on the plain grassy hills around the place?

Also, slightly off topic, is this artwork something you drew or from the actual show, such as early promotional art?  I don't watch it often, but I don't recall 2-headed chickens in the show.  Stands out in a show about candy.

On no man, I didn't draw this. It was three different pics I found online, and I put them together to make the entire stage. It was really simply done to be honest. I did it in photoshop, added some more color to it that's about it. A friend of mine asked me to do it for him. I just decided to share with anyone who wanted it. About the two headed chicken, i have no idea man... I haven't watched that show in a while.
