How's everyone doing?  Hope you all are doing well.  I'm just curious as to what version of Fighter Factory everyone is using these days to create stages and what not?  Could someone enlighten me please.

YugaCurry

Well well, look who it is. Fighter Factory Studio 3.7.5 I believe cuz support for FF3 was dropped a while ago. Why don't you join the discord? It's a lot more active there.

ExShadow

Thanks for the reply, I will have to check both of those out

You made some amazing stages back then. hope to see more. I've used a lot of your stages

Thanks, it would be nice to make a few more.  Kinda sorta miss the freedom of being able to put a variety of things together and see it move

Welcome back! We were literally just talking about you living your best life in the MFG Discord hehe

Have you looked into Ikemen Go stage making? 3d stages and real video backround playback is possible now in the nightly builds!

ExShadow

Never tried Ikemen GO, is the coding similar to Mugen?

The base is the same, but it added new exclusive commands and sctrls to make things MUGEN can't, especially in stages where now there can be possible interactive stages. Don't even tried that yet (since I'm still loyal to WinM/1.0 XD) but people usually prefer it over 1.1 and older stuff

Ikemen GO also introduces ZSS, which is pretty much an alternative to CNS. It has a different coding structure more similar to standard coding languages, but allows for many more aplications. Very useful if you already have experience with coding outside of Mugen and CNS.

By far the most useful aplication of ZSS are custom-made modules that alter the gameplay, without needing to copy-paste code into your chars.

Ikemen GO aims to be generally down-compatible with Mugen, so you can code just like you would in Mugen if you do not want to use any new Ikemen-specific features.

You know those stage remixes you made, with some having snow or day time or even slight edits? Yeah, those are useful for stage transitions now.

Kinda like KOF day/night transitions between rounds and whatnot. I believe you made lots of stages back then without the intention of stage transitions, but now they're all possible to put in one set of rounds. really cool stuff.

just open the stage.def,

round1 = mvc2dessert_day.def
round2= mvc2dessert_day.def
round3 = mvc2dessert_night.def

just like that. nothing complicated

That sounds really cool, I would like to test that out

Hey, havent seen u in ages. Glad to see u again.

Ikemen Go is similar to MUGEN with some extra features.
- As mentioned above u can have different DEFs for each round
- Video elements which helps with stage intros or as a background
- The ability to have interactive elements. Here are some examples of interactive stages I've made before :

Exploding Floors like DOA

Stage Transitions

U have a lot of things to play around with once u get the hang of it.
