I'm having problems with the Background controller in my stage. I want to have Waterdrops falling from the stage ceiling and let them burst on the floor. After a lot of failing i figured out the correct sequence and timing now, but it works only one time, even though a loopcount has been set. If i force the position of the Waterdrop back with 'PosSet' the animation gets out of sync.

Here's the code:

[BG Drop]
type = anim
start = 0, 0
actionno = 14
layerno = 1
ID = 1

[BGCtrlDef Drop]
looptime = 220
ctrlID = 1

[BGCtrl 1, Move]
type = VelSet
time = 0, 110
x = 0
y = 2

[BGCtrl 1, Stop]
type = VelSet
time = 110
x = 0
y = 0

[BGCtrl 1, Change]
type = Anim
time = 110
value = 15

[Begin Action 14]
13,0,0,0,80
13,0,0,0,240

[Begin Action 15]
13,1,0,0,8
13,2,0,0,8
13,3,0,0,8
13,4,0,0,240

I COULD be very wrong. but maybe its just a mugen error which has colliding information?

velsets and animations play from 0 ~ 110.
and a new velset and animation take over at 110.

maybe because both have the same end/begining time, its conflicting.

try 0 , 109
and time = 110

its a tick notice but who knows maybe it'll work?

No, That 110 in there isn't the problem, because it has no purpose or effect in the controller.
It can be removed, since it's not doing anything.

You need to do that AND add a control to change the animation back to 14 at the beginning of the loop too.
Both the PosSet and Anim to 14 ctrls should have time = 0.

If you need a reference stage, MBAA Cherry Blossoms REMIX By GLB & XTRM, has BGCtrl somewhat similar to what you're trying to accomplish.  The cherry blossom petals fall, hit the ground, change to a fade animation, then get put back at the top of the stage to fall again in a loop.

It works now. Thank you very much.
