What are helpers exactly?

I seen them used in more complex moves but I never seem to understand them...

Yeah... I need more help than that.

I am trying to understand something like this:

[state 3020]
type = helper
trigger1 = time = 45
stateno = 3021
ID = 50
ownpal = 1
pos = 7,-73
helpertype = normal

But I can not tell what this says...

Well i'll try to explain:

Type = Helper ;I think this should be selfexplanatory
trigger1 = Time = 45  >This says that the helper is going to appear at 45 ticks in the animation
stateno = **** Is the number of the state that explains the real action of the helper
ID= **** i don't know jeje i dopn't use it i use NAME
ownpal = 1 This says that the anim for the helper will not change with your character pallete.
pos = The position you want it to appear
Helpertype = This can be normal or player. I personally haven't used Player
