Hi Everyone.... i've posted very poorly really, but this is the best place for MUGEN interaction and would really like to Know your opinions on my second Full Game with MUGEN... it's called IA FIGHTER2, and it's my Visual Arts degree thesis theme....

I've put mi friends, techers, and some Psichological Manifestations to hit the Brawl!

Here are some of the minor details in the Game

  • The Characters were captured on Video with almost no studio Facility... Just shoot wherever i could
  • This work it's been on process since August 2004
  • IA FIGHTER (1) was just a fun proyect for a Photografy Class semester
  • The characters don't Jump (none of mi friends could) so they just fight in the Ground... Like a soul Calibur Game
  • Nevertheless, some characters have special moves where they actually Jump
  • The project has 26 character... 1 secret Fighter... and 1 Unselectable Final Boss
  • As i'm visualizing this proyect as a Work of Art, the endings are more of visual comositions than real Endings and some other effects in the game are a bit... strange....
  • I've got money over this year and put it on an Arcade Cabinet
  • It won't use coins... will be absolutely free

Strange and nice at the same time. :)

Mind telling us more about the gameplay ? And maybe the storyline too if there is one ?

DMK

Game sounds awesome and I love the arcade cabinet for it.

How much did that cost and where did you buy it? I've very interested in that.

Can't wait to see more.  :)

May i ask what does IA stand for?

and, seems good, but, the guy in the screen needs cleaning and remove shadows from that transparent guy

Otherwise, its really cool

and, awesome stuff with the arcade, is it even possible to put MUGEN into an arcade

  • About the Gameplay.... every character has 4 to 6 normal moves (three strong Punches and 1 to 3 "kicks", 'cause in some cases the attacks stands for the characters special abilities) three attacks When Crouching, and 2 or 3 special moves (hadokens and that kind of thing)
  • the characters don't run really, in exchange, the walk faster, and have "advancing attacks" (one or two of the normal or special attaks have a velset so they move fast forward when attaking)
  • about the Storyline... it's a little bit weird, because i'm a very big Fan of Matthew Barney and Alexandro jodorowsky (two, primarly, surreal filmaker artists...) so the Storyline follows a Mithical unbodied character, who claims a Tournament    to find a worthy oponent to kill it.... and due to the process of the Combats, it asumes the form of a Bird Lady and the persona of a Egypt godess who looks like a expresionist german film character.... UFF!

  • I bought the Cabinet here in México (yeah!!)... it cost a year ago, aprox. $500 (dollars, yep, a little expensive) but Right now it's only $300 ... but i paid a little more for the logo and sticks displays (ouch!!)

  • IA stands for "INFERNUM ABANDONER" thats something like "Leaving the Hell", due to the fact that my last time in the School wasn't really nice.... and because the proyect it's been in development for so long that it really was a "development hell". IA FIGHTER (1) standed for "INSTITUTO DE ARTES"="Art Institute"

Really fun this thing... yeah, i'l take the shadow of my helper off....

Thanks a lot

Yeah, this cabinet it's nothing more than a computer with a samsung Monitor and sticks configurated trough a jamma pack (a thing that looks exactly like the "teeth" of a SNES cartridge) via paralel port... i calls windows, and the controllers are configurated with PPJOY... the monitor frequency is controlled with the Nvidia Drivers of the CPU.....

that's about it, but if you want, i can offer a more detailed information.

Thanks.
