is there a trigger for lets say: that p1 gets hit and you want the helper to destroyself or changestate if p1 gets hit. is there a such trigger?
mugen or nothin

Cyanide

It's your helper right?

trigger1 = parent, movetype = H

Can also do root, movetype = H depending on whether it's your character or another helper that can be hit. Other things that work are using stateno redirects

trigger1 = root, stateno = [5000,5999]
trigger2 = root, stateno = [800,999]

Just in case someone codes a weird throw which doesn't use H for some reason. Probably not worth it though. movetype = H should be enough

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

YoungSamurai5

much appreciated man, this is exactly what i needed.
mugen or nothin

2OS

[Statedef -3]

[State ]
type=null
trigger1=var(2):=gametime*2

[State ]
type=changestate/selfstate/destroyself
trigger1=ishelper
trigger1=root,movetype=h||root,var(2)!=gametime*2

Above code will detect custom states. State -3 is not read while in a custom state so a variable is set to a value. So if gametime*2 is not the same as the variable you're in a custom state.

Shouldn't normally use movetype = I in a custom state though, otherwise you lose control of who you hit.
