Okay. As I'm saying since few month, I really plan to release it for Fatal Fury 1 's 25th birthday (either 25th of November, or 1st of December).

Consider this topic as the new "WIP" topic.
I have remade the select screen to fit the new portraits. Here it is :




So, so long, need to do :

- Fix Kim/Andy land states
- Yuri's stage...!
- Maybe change Terry, Andy, Joe and Mai's stage for FF2/sp stages.
- special KO for Ryo (loses top)
- special KO for Robert (loses top)
- special KO for Mai (loses fan)
- special KO for both Billy (loses stick)
- Win portraits (in progress by UltraJP, a friend)
- AI for Krauser (mainly), also Billy, Eiji, Yamazaki, John
- Intro for the game
- Endings
- Special ending
- Laurent Demianoff secret character
- ...

Secret character! Everyone likes secret characters! And I like how he looked on that picture... Good luck, man! I'll be eagerly waiting to try new version of course :nuttrox:

A minor nitpick I had, in the previous beta practically all screens only used Fatal Fury music and not a single Art of Fighting track.

I like the old select screen better.

In fact I do too. That's why I firstly made it that way. But the way I did the new portraits I could not insert hem with the old style... so I had to make a painful choice even though I like how it ended.

That's true. That was firstly because I was gonna use the Art of Fighting anime song for the intro but after though I also wanted to use Fatal Fury anime song for the ending... soooo... not to mention Art of Fighting saga doesn't have much VS/win bgm... But today I found a special PC engine version of Art of Fighting 1's select screen. Gonna use that one.

I have found another Takuma that may fit the mold of AOF better. It is made by Belial & Clayton & JonathanS.

Well yeah I have seen this Takuma but it would be pretty hard to release the game for the 25th if I start changing things like a whole char at the last moment. :( I also have seen another Ryo Mr.karate which was edited from mine and is closer to his Wild Ambition appearance... too bad for me.

Anyway, just came in to update the first post. I'm finally seeing the end of the hard work!

Won't be finished for the 25th but the second option was the 1st of December, which is the 25th anniversary of the Neogeo release of Fatal Fury 1.

So, for the 25th of the arcade release of FF1, the 25th of November, I'll release a closed beta test before the public release. If the public release still has bugs, then a patch can be released for Geese Howard's birthday.

Yeah, that's just to find some bugs before the release which is 7 days after only. :P
