KOF Short Jump/Hop

Yeah, I'm new to coding and all that bullcrap. But I'm working on a char.

It's coming along nicely, but i'm completely in the dark about coding a short hop.

How exactly do I go about doing it? The whole encholata, short jump up, forward, back.
And short hyper jump forward and back. (KOF Short Jump as if it wasn't obvious enough.)

I believe you can move topics you created by yourself.

Look at data/common1.cns, where all common states are placed. It has statedef 40, which is the state for jump start. Copy it to your own cns file (to override it for your specific character)
There, you can modify your statedef 40 and make it so that if you release up soon enough, then the y velocity changes.
