He does slide back. It's either your stage or you are probably hitting an airborne opponent.

they were just a shitty fireball, he had a sweet run animation tho.
He had a dive kick as well, other than that... Yeah.

Vans

Hello, I've replied to you here and THERE. Please just keep it to one topic.

way off topic

Duos.act

Just a quick suggestion.

I know you said you didn't want to do custom stuff, but may I suggest using his 2001 striker sprite with the kickass new coat for his "burning the coat off" intro?

Krizalid's a cool boss indeed, should be interesting to see the WDA's take on him.  Nobody compares to the mustached majesty that is Clone Zero though.

I'm not sure if it has been brought up already, but for Desperate Moment and the follow-up, in 02UM isn't he able to just do hcb+P then only a direction to throw the opponent behind, without hitting an attack button for the actual follow-up hit ?
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

K.O.D

In both '99 and '02 UM, the punch button (and direction) is required for the follow-up hit.

Dive kick could be sweet for another intro.
"dive kick into stage, jacket burn, start"
"hand extended( from fireball) , jacket burn, start"
"jacket winpose, into jacket burn, into start"

Nearly half of his specials are done, progress is going to be slow since Vans's vacation has ended and he's very busy.

For the hit, yes. But I thought he was able to throw the opponent aside without the actual follow-up hit - by just inputting the direction and not the attack button. And do some special move instead.

K.O.D

Yeah, he can follow-up with any special/DM move after the grab.

Rote Zaungast

CD attack too, no?

..... I mean
hcb+p : he dashes and grabs
input direction, without attack button : he throws the opponent aside, without the actual slap-in-your-face
input special attack : he does the special

All the FAQs I see, and also your movelist at the top of this topic, don't mention the variation where you can just input the direction without the attack button. and I think I noticed you could do that last time I tried him. Or was it just me seeing things ?

... Okay so in the end I hooked up my PS2 and tested it. Turns out he throws the opponent aside even if you don't do any additional input, so never mind all of that. I was fooled by the version where you can do the additional input in the same direction a when you dash at him, without throwing him behind you.

It doesn't come out as canceling the throw as fast as doing a Rising Dark Moon does, but it appears to link nonetheless.

will he have his infinite from 99? ::)  :D

K.O.D

No, why would an infinite be included. :P

N.E.S.T.S.

well i meant in BOSS mode
not normal mode

K.O.D

Infinites are unintentional bugs, not features.
