A neat idea with good execution. Would be cool if the reflections on the screen moved when the camera moved, but that's beyond the engine capability I think. At least 1.0.
One thing I noticed is the yscaledelta is not quite right. If you stand on the buttons and have the other character jump, you'll see that the ground moves under the char's feet.

Can't this be done by using a big reflection sprite moving (with a high horizontal delta value) under the other sprites? Kinda like a 'mask' as we call it in image editors.

Yeah. I wasn't sure parallax elements could use masking but this stage itself shows that they can. So it'd be a layer of parallax with the DS plastic frame, a reflection layer, and another parallax with the screens.
Jus a suggestion, though, not trying to give Meldo more work. ;D

ah, thanks for letting me know. stage has been updated with some tweaks to the yscaledelta. the download link is the same as before.
